We have only been to Bug's Land, and I was looking at the website for our trip in May, and wondering if The Golden Zephyr and Sun Wheel are OK for 3 yr old DS? They look a bit intimidating, but do not have a height restriction? Are they tamer than they look? Other than the King Triton's Carousel, are there any rides that are appropriate that I missed? We also plan on the Alladdin Show & Playhouse Disney show. Thank you!

If you 3 yo has gone on the (I can't think of the name of them) Rocket Ship (like Dumbo) at Disneyland then he should be able to handle the Golden Zypher.

As for the Sun Wheel, if your DS is not affraid of hieght she should do okay on a stationary car on the Sun Wheel. I haven't been able to convience my DD's to go on a swinging car so I haven't experience that yet.

What about Jumpin' Jellyfish? I know there is a height restriction but if he meets it it is a pretty mild ride.

It took a long time before my cautious 3 year old DS would go on the Zephyer but when he finally did, he loved it. Other than what you mentioned, I don't believe there are any other rides for that age.

However, we always enjoyed Muppetvision 3D, the animation bldg. (the beast's library and Ariel's grotto), and storytime at the Red Creek challenge trail with Chip & Dale. Grizzly Guide Gertie is quite funny with Chip & Dale acting out (& acting up) during the story. My kids also love running around in this area too. My DS also loves the boat near Pizza Mow Mow. (forgive me if I'm not getting the names of these places right but it's close enough that you can figure it out on a map.) There's also the Ugly Bug Ball show in Bugs land too.

My almost 3 year old DS loves both those rides. He has gone on them both many times.

Don't miss Disney Animation. It is BY FAR my barely 4YO daughters favorite attraction at CA. Besides whats been mentioned already, she also LOVES the bakery tour and the tortilla factory.

The Sun Wheel is fine if you are sitting in the stationary seats. The swinging gondolas do swing quite hard especially if there is a great difference in the weight on each side of the gondola. My 2 year old son did like the swinging gondola, but he is pretty adventurous. He also loved the Golden Zephyr. There are a lot of water play areas that young kids will like if it is warm. Just remember to bring extra clothes.
