What rides are different/more interesting at night?

At the top of Splash Mountain, you get an amazing nighttime view of the Castle and Space Mountain all lit up.

It's alot easier to suspend your disbelief and get into the Jungle Cruise at night.

Not really a ride but I love Swiss Family treehouse at night. And I never miss going to look at the Liberty Tree near the Hall of Presidents. It has 13 lanterns on it that are lit at night.

Test track is a little more interesting at night.. our very first ride on Splash Ever was in the dark..

Haunted Mansion was more interesting exiting in the dark as well.

Here is my list:
MK:
Tomorrowland Transit Authority
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Astro Orbiter
and definitely Jungle Cruise!

Epcot:
Test Track

MGM:
Tower of Terror

Haunted Mansion (personal Fav.)
Tower of terror
Jungle Cruise
Splash Mountain
The Monorail
Big Thunder Mountain (also fun in the rain)

just walking around is better at night, the lights are great, it gives a whole different feeling to the parks.

My favorites for nighttime rides are:
Splash Mtn-esp. close to fireworks time
Big Thunder
TTA
Haunted Mansion- even though inside I find it more spooky when it's dark outside
Test Track

Big Thunder- especially when the CMs very kindly let us stay on for multiple rides so we could watch the fireworks while riding! That was great!

Also, Haunted Mansion during E-ride night was soo different. The CM was scaring girls in the stretching room, and I said to myself 'he's going to be in my face when the lights come back on' Sure enough, there he was, but I still jumped a foot! That set the tone for a much spookier ride than during the day.

The one that really jumps out in my mind is Jungle Cruise. There is a fog/mist effect at night that is not present during the day. It makes the "animals" more difficult to see but it really adds to the feel of the ride.

A poster in this thread mentioned SSE. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what in the world SSE is. Spaceship Earth with an extra S added on to the beginning? Please help or I will be pondering this all day!

You know, I never thought of this or realized until I read this thread.... I am usually at the spectro magic parade, then the fireworks and if anything else, I end up in tomorrowland in the dark! As many times as I have been, I have never seen any of the other lands at night time! And after reading all of your wonderful posts I cannot wait to go!! I will definitely make a point of not only going to the other lands but I have to ride Jungle and Splash in the dark! I am just baffled at this idea that I havent been to the other lands in the dark!!!

I love riding all of the attractions during the day then at night. Almost all of them have a different look/feel. Here are some of my faves though:

-TOT--one of my faves overall but WAY different at night than daytime. When you pause at the top and they open the doors to show you how high you are look off to the right. You'll see the castle all lit up. Way cool during fireworks, too.

-Monorail to EPCOT--I love seeing the globe lit up at night. The Monorail goes around it and you get a great view.

-Main ST, USA--alright, not really an attraction as we're thinking but I LOVE it there at night. Just sit down and have an ice cream cone and watch people leaving the park. Then chat with the cast members as you're walking out after most people have left.

-Jungle Cruise--enough said.

-Astro Orbiter--great way to check things out in the park. Get a great view of everything.

-Buzz Lightyear--alright, it's inside but I love this one day or night. (Couldn't resist)

That about covers it for now...

Haunted Mansion at night is so different... the atmosphere at the line... but the most exciting is that the cast members get into atmosphere scaring guests... it's great :p

BTM is also one of my favs. at night

I LOVE the rides at night...I love thunder Mountain...ride it all the time and its fun, I dont scream or hollar but AT NIGHT, I was screaming my head off, so scary and fun...same for Splash Mountain...never did the Jungle cruise have to try that!
