Me and my family are going for the first time. I hate to say it but we don't know what to ride first at each theme park. I will be there 12/15-12/22 and want to get the most out of each day. Please help with any tips on everything!! :confused3

We usually hit the MK and go to the left into Adventureland and start with the Jungle Cruise, POTC, Magic Carptets. We then work our way around to the left. When the kids were younger we went straight through the Castle to Fantasyland and STRAIGHT to Dumbo!! Lucily they are older now and we dont have to make the mad dash to Dumbo. Have fun- we'll see ya down there  We are going to be there the 16th-23rd

Jungle cruise. The longer you wait the longer the line gets. Its fun and will be very hot later in the day in the summer

I get a FP for Jungle Cruise asI walk by and ride PotC and Tiki Room when in Adventureland.
But I don't usually go to Advlnd. first.

Many go to Tomlnd. and ride Space Mtn. & Buzz Lightyear.
Or others go to BTM and Splash first.

Pick your land and enjoy.

Hi there,
How exciting that you are going to be there for the first time - that's wonderful, you will have so much fun.

Right about the rides... depends on the ages of you children... but here are my suggestions...

In Magic Kingdom, go for big thunder mountain (think that's it's name) and splash mountain first if you want thrill rides, for a quieter moment try Mickeys Philharmagic which I simply love (It's a 3D show which includes lots of bits from fave disney films)
Also you should watch 'wishes' fireworks in the evening... they are fab!

In MGM head straight to the Tower of Terror and Rock and Roller Coaster for the thrill rides. Collect a fast pass for one of them and then ride the other while waiting for your fast pass time to arrive). 4D muppet vision is quite fun, but the thing you must not miss is Fantasmic - the evening show. Be prepared to arrive about 1hour before the show in order to choose a good seat, and take some food with you for the kids to munch while you are waiting.

In Animal Kingdom Everest is the biggie as far as thrill rides are concerned, but if you get there early in the morning I would get a fast pass for this and head over to the safari in Africa - the animals are more active in the morning! I also love the 'flights of wonder' show in Asia... beautiful birds fly overhead - it's wonderful. Of course there is also the Kali river rapids - be prepared to get very wet, and the Lion King show is definately worth a visit.

At Epcot, ride 'soarin'. If you aren't afraid of heights try and get into the front row. If you are not going to be in row 1 when you get to the front of the line, ask a CM if you can wait til the next showing so you can be in row 1. They won't let you push to the front, but are happy to let you wait (actually this works on any ride in any kingdom) This way you are right at the top and don't have the view of peoples feet above your head! Enjoy strolling around the worlds, and don't miss the Illuminations in the evening they are awesome, but find your space early!

Of course in each of the worlds (except Epcot) there is a parade which is well worth seeing. Again be prepared to be in place early so that you get a good view.

Hope this helps...

PS (As if I didn't say enough already)... try and get a character breakfast... the crystal palace has winnie the pooh and friends and is really nice!

Send one person in your party over to get fast pass tix to another ride, and then have them meet you at the ride you want to go on right away. I usually run over to space mountain and get the fast passes while my mom, stepdad, and brother order breakfast at the bakery on main street. We eat that while the parade is going on in the morning. Then we head over and hop on thunder mountain, and possibly splash. Then we hit POC, and the country bear jamboree. I don't like the jungle cruise since now at animal kingdom lodge there are real animals. It makes the jungle cruise seem really lame. However if you do want to do that ride since you have never gone you should do it early. Its a small world always looks packed but the line always moves quickly. One thing you can't miss in Mickey's Philharmagic. It is amazing.

First time? aw that's great! But anyways try to hit the parks as early as possible.

On that note, While in MK, if you get there really early you should try to hit the big attractions first. Such as, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Carribean, Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road, etc etc.

Epcot: Soarin', Testrack, Mission Space

MGM: Rockin' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror

AK: Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Kaliminjaro Safari

After you do all those big attractions first you will then have time to eat, ride other rides, catch a few shows, and then possibly ride some of your favorite rides again. We always try to ride the more popular rides first in the early AM because that's when they have the shortest waiting time.

Ok hoped this helps! Have a wonderfull, fun and magic filled trip! :goodvibes

First get one of the GOOD guidebooks they are worth every penny. Plan to go to the back of the park as soon as you enter, noting things of interest you want to check out later as you go.
after reading the guide you should know what rides you are most interested in, go to these first and if they have fast passes available pick one and get a fast pass as soon as you can get to that section. Keep it for later, guide will explain fast passes if you don't know about them yet.

Most first timers, tend to just enter the park and go to the first thing they see and get bogged down and pooped out before they do the things they want most and by the time they get to them there are long lines for them. pirate:

:wave2: We'll see you too! (15-24) I just told my DD that our first thing would be Big Thunder Railroad! We wont get there until mid afternoon and MK closes early that night for Mickeys Party but I MUST go to MK first for my Disney Magic to begin!

I head straight to Haunted Mansion in MK....Straight to Soarin in EPCOT.....Straight to RnR in Disney Studios.....Straight to Dinosaur and Kilimanjaro in AK.
