What restaurants do you regret eating at?

I can honestly say that I do not regret eating anywhere on Disney property. :goodvibes

I wish I could say that, but I honestly can say I have regreted eating on Disney property; namely ABC Commissary. One of the worst places I have ever paid to eat at.

I think before anyone changes ADRs they should remember that everyone's tastes are different. We've only had 1 meal that was really bad and that was at Yakotori House in Japan. We had had great meals there before. Going by the posts here, some peple must not like any of their meals. I have some family members like that. They complain about anywhere that they eat.

I cannot agree with you more on this. Opinions are like booties; everyone has one. I have never had a meal at a TS (can't say that about cs) that I would call terrible. Some have been average, but I would not call them terrible. Overall most of them have been pretty decent. :thumbsup2

Brown Derby. It just wasn't...right for us. Not bad or anything, it just didn't leave much of an impression. :confused3

Pizza Planet. I really dislike their pizza. And the noise. :headache:

Boma for dinner - worst experience of the whole trip - noisy and busy with lots of gaps in the buffet.

We are going to try it for breakfast next time as things can be so different depending when you go, so I'd never write it off completely.

Plus, they are gold diggers. They both asked my brother if he had his own castle. Shameless. Hussies. :scared1:

When we went, they asked my DH if he was a prince. He told them no, and they turned their backs to him and started flirting with my son (only 4 at the time). He told them he was a prince, and they started fighting over him!

At least they didn't trip and fall over a curb--when DD (17) and I were watching the show in DHS in March, one of the dancers was too busy watching DD and tripped over the curb when he was dancing off. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

I have a few restaurants that I probably won't return to because we just didn't enjoy them that much or thought they were way too expensive. However, I do have one restaurant where I had a truly awful experience: Coral Reef. We had dinner there in May 2010. The service was terrible and we had to wait almost forever and a day for our food to arrive. The food was really bad with the exception of the lobster bisque which was quite good.

Now that is a great Disney attitude - Thank you!
I absolutely LOVE their breakfast, yet agree with you somewhat on their dinner. (It just hasn't been the same food-wise, either, since they stopped serving the prime rib.)

Whispering Canyon Cafe;
horrible food, horrible service, theme does nothing for me (wasn't my pick!) so I don't have a reason to try it again

Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show:
love the theme, but the food was SO bland and the show was a snoozefest. Ironically I was so excited for this show and dreading HDDR, yet I LOVED HDDR!

Every CS burger I've ever eaten::scared1:
I think I tried about four at different locations before it finally hit me that they make me ill each time and I'm just not meant to handle them. I haven't ordered a burger since and accordingly my last 20 or so CS meals have all been fantastic!

Confused. :confused3 You tell them how much you want there.

our waiter was dropping meat off those lethal skewers at a dead run. He was throwing food on our table as if it was a relay race!!!

After 27 Disney-related trips (WDW, DCL & DLP), hands-down was O'hana for dinner. It was our first and last trip there.

The bread and salad (particularly the honey lime dressing) were fantastic! The chicken wings were good, but just wings. The pork dumplings? were doughy and looked to be filled with moldy stuffing. The steak was cooked in such a way it couldn't be cut. The chicken was pretty good, but pork was dry. The shrimp were cooked, but still in the shell, so an incredible pain to get to/eat. The caramel banana was great.

However, the main reason we won't eat there again wasn't the mediocre food. Our main issue was the lady who was the "entertainment director". About every 10-15 minutes she would lead a group of 20-30 kids around the restaurant (right next to our table) singing, dancing, playing maracas, etc. The noise & commotion was so overwhelming, I had to stop eating, as I was in sensory overload! I expected this chao with the characters at breakfast (which is why we never go), but not at dinner!

Our servers were both rushing themselves and us. At one point I stated, "Slow down!"

We specifically booked a 9:30pm time so we could watch Wishes. We were in the middle of the restaurant and knew a window seat wasn't promised. Yes, the music was pipped in and the lights dimmed. However, the servers were still rushing about, stopping at tables in front of us blocking Wishes, and speaking very loudly. The entire environment & show were ruined.

O'hana was very promising, but in no way met our expectations.

I have no regrets as far as restaurants we have tried at WDW. And I never had a particularly horrible meal there, just a few disappointments here and there. They are:

1. Captain's Grill dinner...we were just not impressed, and we would like to try a different resort restaurant next time. Nothing terrible, just nothing special. Perhaps it would be better for a quiet breakfast instead of going there for dinner.

2. Whispering Canyon...at first, we loved the antics, and the kids enjoyed the horse races. Then the same antics over and over started to "get old". Especially the ketchup one. It was fun the first couple of times, but over and over again we just found it to be annoying. Food was fine, but nothing special.

3. Marrakesh...this was a big disappointment. We had enjoyed the CS in Morocco 2 years before, and were looking forward to trying the TS. The food was all right, but the CS was much better. Service was so-so. It was our last dinner of the trip too, it would have been better someplace else. Other people rave about this place, but it just wasn't for us.

4. Le Cellier...DS6 loves steak, and they have it on the kids' menu so we decided to try it. I went in without high expectations because I know how much hype this place gets, but I wanted to judge for myself. Yes, the bread and the cheddar soup were great. The quality of the meat was very good. But, I found the food to be very salty, and I don't like a lot of salt. The mushroom sauce on the filet was salty, and I subbed the potato gratin in place of the risotto...the potato gratin just tasted like pure salt. I took 2 bites, then couldn't eat any more. DS6 loved it because he got to eat steak, but we will try Yachtsman next time instead.

Like I said, I have no regrets because none of these experiences was completely horrible. But, they are just places that are no longer on our list.

After reading through all of these I think maybe I should cancel everyplace and just take along a jar of peanut butter and some bread. But then again, I actually like McDonald's.........

Planet Hollywoood. Bad food, bad service, tables way too close together, too loud. Just a really awful experience.

:rotfl: If I had read this thread without being to many of these places I'd think the same thing. Don't let it get to you. For every bad experience in the same place, on the same night, with the same waiter and the same food there will be someone else who thought it was great!

Foodwise, what works for one person doesn't work for everyone. I cannot stand mushrooms; my DH loves them. He eats sushi/sashimi; I gag at the thought. I love brussel sprouts and cabbage, and he can only tolerate cabbage in coleslaw.

A server can be having a bad night--it's unfortunate and somewhat unprofessional--but it happens. We have been to 50s Primetime at least 4 times, and we had one bad server--really dropped the ball, no playful interactions, refills were nonexistent, dropped check and ran without checking on us at all, etc. But we gave it another go, and had a fantastic time. So, take those reviews with a grain of salt also.

Regret is a strong word...but honestly it would be CRT. I LOVED the Princess interaction, that was amazing because they really took their time with us. The food however was NOT worth 2 TS credits and our server was soooo rushed that we really didn't get good service. I don't suspect we'll be back till grandkids come along.:)

For us it would be 1900 Park Fare, We were squished in a corner table, and it was very difficult to walk around all the tables to get to the buffet. Characters kept missing us and the food wasn't that great... not worth the money.

I wouldn't be so hasty. The title of this thread is inviting people to post what they don't like. There are plenty of people who love it - but you won't find them posting on here. ;)

We are here, and we love Coral Reef!!! :dance3: Have eaten there oh maybe 1-2 a year since 06. We believe they have the best strip steak:banana::love: in all Disney World and the Baileys dessert,:yay: it's great. Its a slow day here and I wondered on to this thread, it's really kind of sad to read the negative stuff.:confused3 We have visited WDW, twice a year since 07 for 10-12 days at a time. We have had some less than wonderful servers but in all those meals, mostly TS, Signature, and a few CS, cannot really remember any except a seafood buffet at Cape May that I wouldn't visit again. Reason? We live on the West coast and have the best seafood in the USA. Fresh salmon, sturgeon, Dungeness Crab, all kinds of shellfish, halibut, sable cod, true cod, the list goes on and on. So Cape May fish buffet just left us cold.

Our list of places we'll never return to:

Grand Floridian Cafe - Too stuffy, just not our style.
Sci Fi Dine In - Food was blah, service was blah.
Biergarten - We're from small German town in southern Indiana so thought we'd love it. We didn't. There wasn't enough variety & what was there was just so-so.
