What restaurants do special things for Birthdays?

The last time we were at Disney in 2007 we were celebrating my DD 16th Birthday. We went to dinner at Coral Reef and I had a diver hold a sign wishing her a Happy Sweet 16. As far as I know they no longer do this. This year when we go in October it is my youngest DD 13th Birthday and I am trying to find something to celebrate her Birthday. Does anyone know of any restaurants that do something out of the ordinary. Thanks!:confused3

There isn't anything like what you mentioned anywhere to my knowledge.

However if you mark on your ressie that there is a special bday, then when the restaurant sets up your table some of these things can occur:

Confetti on the table, a special bday cupcake at the end of a meal, staff can sing happy bday.

But to be honest it really depends on the server at that restaurant.

A good thing to remember is when checking in at the restaurant remind them of the celebration and ask if they can do something for your bday girl.

Good luck and have fun!

Don't get your hopes up, put it on all the reservations and see what happens. I took DD9 for her birthday. I listed her birthday on all our reservations and only about half the restaurants acknowledged her birthday. I didn't mention to her at all that there was a possibility of her getting anything so she was pleasantly surprised if she did get a card, cupcake or table decorations.

i would not get your hopes up for anything free. as the pp mentioned you can mark it in your reservations and see what happens. if you really wanted to do something and will be staying at a disney resort i would have someone decorate the room or drop of a basket. it will cost you but as least you know something will get done. other then that the most you can hope for is a little cupcake or maybe some confetti on the table.

1) Have your anniversary-birthday-honeymoon-etc noted on the ressie or on ADR's.
2) The CM's have a lot of leeway of things to do or not do for you.
3) It simply is a matter of the CM's initiative and how busy they are that day.
4) It also depends upon how much they like you as a guest.
5) Some of the things a CM can do for free are
. . . decorate table with Mickey confetti
. . . best table location
. . . special personalized menu
. . . autographed birthday cards
. . . balloons
. . . gifts for kid's baby teeth
. . . wine or champagne
. . . appetizers
. . . cake
. . . autographed placemats
. . . wine or fruit basket

Thanks everyone, I already have it marked on the resort reservation we are staying at Wilderness Lodge. I have not been able to make dining reservations yet as we are going in October, she wants her Birthday dinner at Lecellier so hopefully I can get them to do a little something there.:thumbsup2

Good luck with LeCellier. That has been the only restaurant that has NEVER done anything for us anytime we have celebrated there.
We had our honeymoon dinner there and then an anniversary dinner there (on the actual night) and NOTHING....the waiter never even congratulated us.
