Can anyone tell me what restaurants are near Hojo's? Just wondering what options we have since we are staying at Jojo's? TIA!!!:)

Millie's, Mimmi's and McDonalds. You all on the way to/from the parks. Though it's faster to walk to the parks across the street.

Can you please explain what you mean by its faster walking to the parks across the street? Also, no IHOP?:confused3 Thank you!!:)

Its quicker because there are less people and because you can cut through the shuttle bus drop off area.

Walking along Harbor on the non-Disney side, from Hojos is Mimi's, Millie's and McDonald's before the crossing.
Then after the crossing is IHop, Cold Stone Icecreamery, Denny's, and Tony Romas.
At the corner of Harbor and Katella there is a 7-11, Subway, a pizza place and a chinese food place

Thats all I can think of now but I may have missed a few :)

Wahtever you do, don't go to Captain Kidds (next to IHop.) It is really bad

Your walk to the parks will be faster on the side of the street without all the restaurants and other motels. Perhaps that's all skiingfast was trying to say.

Mimi's is the closest restaurant to Hojos. We enjoy that place a lot both for sit-down and takeout. Millie's is next. It's in the parking lot of the Fairfield Inn. Haven't tried it but have seen some comments that it's decent. The McDonald's is also right near Fairfield (Fairfield Inn is the closest hotel on Harbor to Hojos).

From my recollection, as you walk down the motel/restaurant side of Harbor toward the Disney parks, attached to some of the hotels you should find a Cold Stone Creamery, a sandwich shop (Quizno's maybe?), Captain Kidd's (don't eat there). Also near the motels at the Disney crosswalk is an IHOP, reportedly overpriced, have never tried it personally, and a Tony Roma's.

This post by S.S, Columbia answers it perfectly. It's the Hojo short cut, works for Quality Inn and Suites too.

Here's a link that shows the Hojo shortcut:

After walking back and forth to Hojo's countless times, both routes, I think people overestimate how much the short cut saves. We mostly chose our route based on the sun/shade and whether we wanted to stop at McD's and whether we had to wait for a signal to cross harbor. Also, if it was late and dark and no one else was taking the short cut, we'd walk the longer way so we could be with other pedestrians. So, just my opinion, but the short cut doesn't save you much. :)

As for restaurants, we just always eat at the park, not for the food, for the atmosphere. :)

Agreed. The Hojo shortcut is only about 100 feet shorter.

But it's good to have options. :thumbsup2

One night, right after the Fourth of July fireworks, the pedestrian crosswalk was incredibly backed up. Hundreds and hundreds of people! :hourglass

That night the shortcut was excellent! :cool1:
