We are heading to Disney in July with my kids and parents. My parents are taking the kids out one night so the two of us can have dinner for our anniversary.

Would you recommend California Grill, Yachtsman Steakhouse or someplace in Epcot?

California Grille is my recommendation. We went for my birthday this year and I loved it! We had an ADR for after the fireworks but it was still amazing, especially if your a foodie, we loved the meal. My boyfriend brilliantly asked for a quiet table so we were seated in the Wine Room which was quiet, toward the back and kid free, thus the appeal. The price was also quite reasonable, so don't let that scare you...I think Yachtsman is slightly overpriced for what you get and the atmosphere doesn't compare to CG. Enjoy and have a happy Anniversary where ever you go!

Ca Grill is most often a noisy zoo; we've dined here many times and I would hardly consider it romantic. It's not as bad if you are willing to eat very late; after the fireworks are over and the spectators have left the building. Yachtsman is generally a bit quieter; at least we've found it quieter for all of our meals there.

If I were picking romantic and V&A was not an option, I would pick Bistro de Paris at Epcot.

I agree completely. We love Bistro de Paris!

Another vote for the Bistro in Epcot.

My DW and I are going to V&A 's this Saturday night for a get away from the kids dinner. We shall see if its romantic ;)

Definitely Cali Grill for sure. Make sure to time your res around the fireworks as best you can. The view is spectacular, the service is great, the food is great. We love it. We're eating there for our one year anniversary in June! Good luck with your choice!

Cali Grill is excellent, but it is very raucous and noisy.

I would recommend Citricos - much more calm and relaxing. Plus it's not so popular, so it's easy to get an ADR for with your pick of times.

I've been to lots of the signature restaurants, and the best service has always been at Citricos - ask for Kiera or the blonde Nancy!

We found the Cali Grille to be surprisingly loud. The food was good, but not in such a hurry to eat there again. Conversation was halted due to having to holler over everyone else to be heard.

I second Citricos! Quiet, fantastic service and the food is out of this world. The restaurant itself is quite pretty also.

Never been to Cali Grille, but my husband and I have dined at Artist Point many times and have fallen in love with it. When we have been, the restaurant has been low-key and relatively quiet, the atmosphere is great, and the service has been second to none. Oh, and the food was to die for!

Of the places I've tried I'd probably recommend Yachtsman Steakhouse or Narcoosees. They have excellent food, romantic atmosphere and great service.

If you're into the restaurant looking romantic, but don't mind taking a little bit of a hit on food quality to save some money, I'd try the San Angel Inn.

The Yachtsmen was spectacular- food was delicious (lobster bisque to die for), the wait staff was outstanding, and the dessert was out of this world. We ate at Narcoosses as well, and were not impressed. Yachtsmen will be a given for us each visit, Narcoosses never again

I would go for Cali Grill out of the ones you mentioned. I thought Yachtsman's was overrun by families when I was there, kids running around and just about every table had a family with children. Not a bad thing just not what date night is about!

I would also suggest looking at Jiko. I've been several times and it seems to be the quietest of all. I love the AKL and it just seems very romantic.

I also love the Flying Fish. The food is outstanding and then you can stroll along the boardwalk after.

Cali Grill is fantastic. You can view the fireworks. It is a bit noisy but I've always tuned out the background noise and it never bothered me. I am one of those people that hate crowded noisy places too. I'm always suprised at the people saying it is too loud.

Enjoy!

Cali Grill is NOT a romantic restaurant. It is open, noisy, frantic, busy, and in every other way pretty much not conducive to romance. Is it good? Yes. Is the view great (when you can see it)? Yes. Is it the best signature restaurant in WDW? No. Is it the most romantic? Not by a long shot.

The Yachtsman, Citrico's, Jiko, Bistro de Paris, Victoria and Albert's - all are MUCH more romantic in setting than Cali Grill.

By all means go to Cali Grill at least once, but not for a romantic dinner.

My suggestion would be Jiko unless you can afford Victoria & Albert's or Bistro de Paris.

My wife and I love the Cali Grill, but it's not romantic. I wish I had more signature experiences, but my only other one was Citricos and that wasn't very romantic, either.

Loved Bistro! Our server made my night even more special by singing a French anniversary song. DH even enjoyed it-

Cancelled V&A's and Narcoossee's for Jiko on my anniversary this year. It was so wonderful the last time we went-we were the only people at the bar area (even though the restaurant was crowded), and the chefs were all so wonderful and spoke to us like we were their very best friends. They gave us privacy but engaged us by explaining our food, where they were all from and how that food related to their part of the world...absolutely one of the best dining experiences in WDW.
