My brother and his finace will be Honeymooning in the World starting October 17th. They'd like to "dress up" and have a "nicer dinner" their first night there.

They have the dining plan, but I suppose they might pay cash for this one and keep their dining plan credits.

Any ideas? I don't think they want V&A's, but I was thinking Artist's Point at WL, or The California Grill at the CR.

What are your favorites for a nice evening for 2 honeymooners?

We just recently celebrated our 13th anniversary at the California Grill. It was wonderful. We are also going back for my Birthday in December. :cool1:

We're doing California Grill the first night of our honeymoon.....in 6 days!!!

My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at CG and it was the most romantic dinner we've ever had. Wishes was on between drinks and the appetizers and our meal was fantastic. Our server (Kevin) was great and we never felt hurried at all. Wouldn't have traded that evening for anything.

We've got PS again for CG in a couple weeks. CAN'T WAIT! :bounce:

Hi!

California Grille is great - but for a honeymoon, if you can swing the expense, go over to Victoria and Albert's. We did this for our 25th Anniversary, and it was one of the most memorable experiences we've ever had (and have been to WDW 33 times; going again in January). You do have to wear a jacket (men) and dressy attire for women there. And the food is beyond description. Enjoy! :love2:

I agree with Miksad. Since they like to dress up, and for a restaurant with no kids around, V&A is the place to go. Also, according to the 2005 AAA tourbook, they rate CG with 3 diamonds while V&A is the only Central Florida restaurant (and one of only 47 nationwide) with a 5 diamond rating.

I also agree with V&As if they can afford it. We ate there last week and it was the nicest meal I've ever had. I thought it may have been too posh and a bit intimidating but the service was excellent and I felt completely relaxed the whole night.

Jiko at AKL. The restaurant is amazing inside, the food is out of this world...and the staff is incredible.

We ate there on our honeymoon..and then again 2 weeks ago on our 2nd anniversary...and we had the same waitress...she was amazing and really treated us well.

Because you are at Disney, you may be seated next to tired children anywhere but V&A. Just so they understand. This can happen even with late evening reservations.

ALL Disney resturants, with the possible exception of V&A will have it's share of kids.

We never miss going to the CG when in WDW. Have them check what time the fireworks go off at MK. The restaurant turns down the light and feeds the music from Main Street into the place. Just spectacular! The service is great A+++++ and the food is to die for :love2:
