I know that Port Orleans has a boat to DTD, I was just wondering if any other resort had the same thing. We really enjoy the trip to DTD and have stayed at POR often, but maybe want to try something different this trip. Any Suggestions.

POR, POFQ, and Old Key West, and I think maybe Saratoga Springs (but they might have walking access only, I am not sure about this one). Basically all the resorts on the sassagoula river. Here is the map to the river:

Do you know if POFQ has its own boat dock or would we have to walk over to the one at POR. Since we have been to POR maybe we will just try the FQ which we have never stayed at. Thanks!

It has it's own dock. It stops at POR first (on the way to DTD) then picks up at POFQ, and drops off at POFQ(on the way back) first before going to POR. We love POFQ. It has a nice smaller feel. We think it feels less crowded than POR (which we also loved). You really can't go wrong either way but I agree, it is fun to try new places!!

Have you stayed since they redid the rooms? I was just looking at pictures of POFQ and saw that they had some curtains for some privacy in the vanity area. Do you know if that is in all rooms. That might be a good thing for the three adults sharing a room with us. Also is the Serpent slide fun. It looks like something my two kids might like. They are 5 and 7 when we go so I am not sure if kids all ages can go on the slide.

Thanks for you input! Also if we stay at POFQ can we go to their restaunts and pools. I really like the mansions so I am tempted to stay there and then walk over to the Serpant slide pool.

Yes, you can use the pools/restaurants at either since they are sister resorts. The serpent slide is great! My son is acutally bummed that we will be staying at OKW in January (even though they will have a new slide open when we go) because he won't get to go on the "dragon" slide at POFQ. He remembers it from when he was 4 (he is 8 now). I think your kid's are the perfect ages for that slide, and good luck trying to pull them away from it!!
The curtains are in all rooms I think, and just divide the bathroom area from where the beds are. I have seen lots of pics, but I have not stayed there since it was redone. Both are great resorts and it is so hard to choose!! The only other thing that is nice about POFQ, is that if the bus fills up, it does not stop at POR where as if you are at POR, sometimes the bus is almost full when it gets there (or the POFQ get all the seats!). Let me know if you have any other questions!!

It runs during the day as well, but I think runs more frequently at night.
