me and my mom have gone to CBR last time and we love it, but where should we go next time?? :confused3

i'd like to try AKL some time.
My mom and I were supposed to go to that hotel a year ago, but the trip was cancelled.

I love the Poly

I think everyone here likes AKL .. but so do I! :thumbsup2
I also like Poly

I love the Contempoary, but a good moderate resort is Port Orleanes French Quarter, it's really quiet there, or it was...

If you can afford it, the Grand Floridian is, in my opinion, too great to pass up! I say go there...though it is a bit pricey (but what isn't at Disney? lol)

I think it depends what you like for a theme. Plus, if you prefer to get something to eat at a food court that may narrow you to values & moderates. If you want a refrigerator they are free at Moderates. Values charge $10.80/night for them.
I believe moderates have coffee makers in rooms as well as slides in their pools, and curtains you can close by the bathroom area for privacy while changing.

We've stayed at all the moderates and like them for different reasons.
CBR- I like the location and really like the caribbean decor.
Coronado- like peppers market, but not so crazy about the location.

we've also stayed at most of the deluxes which have a great location. My favorites of Deluxes in this order are: Boardwalk, Poly, Beach Club. (primarily because of the locations)

Either the Grand Floridian or the Compemtorary

If you can, I'll second anyone who says GF! It is the best! I am positivly addicted to it, however. We actually stayed concierge last time we were there (we're hooked on it, too, but it works out cheaper doing that, actually because of the meals saved ;)).

Bottom line is what resort you stay at depends on what you want out of it. If you want a ultra-luxury resort, choose GF. If you want an urban-like but still luxorious resort, choose Contemporary. If you want to stay on a New England Beach, choose Beach Club.

But for a moderate, by far I'd choose a Port Orleans.

Well, it really depends on your mom's budget

But, Im a fan of Boardwalk and Polynesian. Both have excellent locations and good nightlife :thumbsup2

GRAND FLORIDIAN! = Amazing

If you like the Boardwalk, I'd also suggestion Yacht and Beach club across the way...

Beach Club is closer to Boardwalk in style, where Yacht Club is closer to the Grand Floridian...and YES...the Yacht and Beach Club are separate, despite popular thought...

You suggested the Grand Floridian?? Now THAT was surprising to me... :lmao: :rotfl: I think it is so funny that this teen board is occupied with at least two GF fanatics lol.

While I would like to stay at both the Yacht and the Beach, I think I'd perfer the Yacht...lol. It reminds me of Cape Cod and I LOVE Cape Cod lol. (Though, when I am at WDW I like to think of being away from home...not closer to it! haha! :rotfl: ) Yet...who could pass up Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club? I still have yet to try the Kitchen Sink! LOL

I would say id a moderate then Port Orleans French Quarter building 2 overlooking the pool on the first floor. I know, I am really descriptive but that is a really good like place to go and stay. But also AKL is like really far away from everything else in Disney and like if you don't get a good room then you have to walk like a mile to like the lobby and like the pool. Also there are cameras like everywhere and supposidly watching the animals but they are like watching you half of the time. And like the resturants there are pretty nice looking but they are really expensive and they are like really like cultural and like they serve like deer and zebra and stuff like that so I don't know. But the Poly is really nice and I love that hotel. But I hope my advide works.

AKL is far away from everything because AK is far away from everything. They're right next to each other. Theyre the fastest to get to, too, because they have their own bus line. Everything is pretty centerally located. You don't have to walk far, and when you do, its a beautiful walk. The cameras watch you. To make sure no one mistreats the animals. The food is fantastic. And its about as expensive as everything else.

AKL is easily the best place I've ever stayed.
