Hi again
This is our first time staying concierge level at the poly and was wondering what other requests have you asked concierge for besides the normal priority seating and getting tickets. This is our very first disney trip and I want it to be very memorable for my girls and was wondering what all you asked concierge to do and if you asked them to do stuff for your children or give them stuff?

Hi Leslie32! I hope you enjoy your Poly CL stay as much as we always do. You can find a lot more info on concierge on the "Useful Concierge Info" thread here on the resorts board, and you can get a feel for the "spirit" of concierge by checking out The New Lizard Lounge on the community boards.

DH and I have been staying concierge at the Poly since 1998 and love the attentive service and warm family feeling we get from the CMs there. Planning office CMs recently helped me with a letter inviting our nephew to join us at WDW. I wrote the letter, they printed it on Disney stationery and sent it along with an autographed picture of Buzz Lightyear. They have also shopped for special gifts for my in-laws and also for our nephew - you provide a CC # and list of items and they do the rest. They helped my DH arrange for a b-day cake and balloons, plus b-day card from Mickey for my special day. If your girls are at the "princess worship" age, you might have some princess-themed gifts purchased and placed in your room as a surprise, or request a picture of the princesses sent to your home prior to your trip. The IPO CMs can probably give you more suggestions if you e-mail them and tell them you are new to Disney and want to do something really memorable for your girls. Good Luck and Happy Trip!

For our first trip last month, we called ahead and got the concierge to order mouseketeer hats for each of our kids with their names embroidered on them, and we asked that the hats be in our rooms when we checked in along with a card from Mickey saying "Welcome to Disney World".

My one suggestion to you is get the name of the CM who takes your order, and to call and confirm (maybe even twice) before you arrive. When we checked in the hats were there (but not the card).

Another idea is to get each kid a Disney t-shirt. And if you have girls (ours are 8 and 10) they have really cute charm bracelets with additional charms that clip on (each day you could have them leave your girls another charm for it). They were very cheap--$8 for the bracelets and $4 for each charm, I think.

Thank you so much for all your help. You guys have wonderful Ideas that you did. I didn't know concierge would do all that. This is even better. I really appreciate all your help.

Have a great day!!

W :earboy2: e were upgraded to concierge at the Wildnerness Lodge last January (2004). My husband unfortunately had an emergency at work, and the concierge staff could not have been more helpful. They gladly delievered and sent faxes, even calling the room to let us know when a fax had arrived. They also directed us to an area where he could use a copier (at no charge). They made what was otherwise a real disappointment much more bearable. (We would much rather have been touring the parks together!)

May I ask how/why you were upgraded?

How did you arrange the charm bracelet thing? I'd love to do that for my daughter?
