What Rental Car Company at Pier

There are three that will shuttle you from the dock: Budget, Hertz, and Avis. None have an actual drop off there, but the distance is not too far.

We used Budget last year and found it incredibly hassle free. It was a smooth process turning in the car and then a very friendly Budget driver dropped us off right near the door...as close in as they were allowed. I don't remember exactly where we were dropped off...which is a good thing. If it was any sort of a walk I'm sure I would have remembered! It was easy.

We used Budget also but when we got to the airport to pick up the car there was a huge mix up with the deposit. They had told me one thing over the phone with reservations and then when we got there it was whole different story. The Budget manager refused to honor what reservations quoted. So unless you want to get there and pay more than quoted or have your deposit money tied up for about 4 weeks, then you may want to check with another company. I will never go to Budget again. We went ahead and rented then because it was late and we had no other choice. That was on Wednesday but by Sunday when the cruise was over I had made alternate arrangements and did not use Budget as originally planned. The workers in Cocoa Beach that drove us to the port from the Budget office were very nice but overall the company was dirty. I just hate to see someone else treated badly.

We used Hertz, when we came out of the building we went to the pick up area just as the shuttle was pulling in, great service and not a very long ride from the port.

Our reservation was mixed up, no fault of Hertz as we booked through a travel agent called booking company and Hertz was more than willing to accomodate us. Would definitely book them again.

I don't understand why you had to pay a deposit. We never have.
On this last cruise, we rented a car at MCO on friday and dropped it off at the port on saturday. Extremely hassle free, except for a couple inconsiderate customers. Pick-up was easy. Drop off and shuttle was even easier. Price...$30.20 total for a Buick Century.
I would recommend them.
