What rates did you get at Universal Hotels this August?

I think I remember reading a while back that there were some great deals this August for Unversal Hotels. Just wondering if anyone could let me know what sort of deals they were getting and who they booked with. Friend wants to go next August and being quoted in excess of £7000 for package and I have said, pretty sure you can do it cheaper than that booking direct.

You could read thru this thread I started in Feb, gives deals that were around then, probably a misprice but read thru that see what quotes were around.

Packages in August are rarely worth taking. I posted in a thread few days ago, VH 21 nights at SSR their price £5055. hotel was £2,100 direct with Disney so VH were charging £1477.50pp for economy flights.
