What phrases drive you crazy?

LOL. "No problem" as a response to me shows that what I did did not rise to the level of needing thanks.

Yes! Exactly. I say "no problem" a lot. Because IMO, people say "thank you" WAY too much. LOL. I don't need to be thanked for every little thing I do.

Or, the standard in many of my circles, "the littles" and "the bigs" when referring to their younger children and their older children. UGH!

Frisco is the equivalent of saying Cali .. when used to say San Francisco

by out-of-town-folks.

It is funny because what people don't realize is that it is a SURE SIGN you are NOT familiar with California at all.

When the response to your "thank you" is "no problem".

This one doesn't bother, though. I actually see a subtle distinction between the two "standard" replies. To me, "you're welcome" means that whatever was done was a bit time consuming or inconvenient or whatever, but you're worth the trouble, while "no problem" implies that it honestly wasn't any trouble and there's no need for thanks at all.

Exactly!

I use no problem when it was meaningless task and I really did not do much, but was thanked for it. (Example: my friend has a daughter in the same class as my dd. Her daughter forgot a homework worksheet so I took a picture of ours so she could print it up. Took me all of 30 seconds. It was literally no problem for me to take quick photo of it.)


I will most certainly reply you're welcome when it was bigger task, but I was glad I could help out. (Example: Making 60 mini cheesecakes and 60 mini strawberry margarita parfaits for PTO fundraiser.)
