I have just started planning my Disney Wedding and was wondering if everyone could tell me what Photographer they used for their Disney Wedding.

I would like to know what photographer was used and some sample photos or websites if possible. Also, did the photographer include a copy of all photographs taken on a CD?

How many people used a Disney Photographer and were they happy with their pictures and did you get copys of the proofs on a CD?

Any feedback would be great!

Thanks
:)

I have not had my wedding yet but I booked RANDY CHAPMAN. His website is chapmanphotography.com & the password for Disney Brides is Ariel. If you do a search on the DIS you will find HUNDREDS of satisified brides. Basically if you can get him - BOOK HIM:woohoo:

I can guarantee you that a load of brides will be along any moment to say "Randy Chapman" and frankly, I agree!

We went with him for 2 reasons:

Everyone on here just LOVES him
He gives you a CD with all your photos on, whereas Disney didn't offer that when we booked (they may do now - I don't know)

Randy is awesome. I am waiting for my pics to come back from him now - he showed me a couple of proofs on our wedding day at the Dessert Party and they were incredible.

Me too! My wedding is not until August 27, 2008 and I already have Randy booked. I fell in love with the pictures on his site, you really should check it out. DF and I are so excited to have him on our wedding day! :dance3:

I was tempted to go with Randy. I do really like his work, and I know everyone on here has nothing but good things to say about him but in the end we chose to go with Disney photography. We figured since we are already paying for the photography in the intimate package we might as well use it. Disney does offer a honeymoon shoot if you are using a different photographer for the wedding, but we weren't really interested in this at all.

As a Canadian couple, I thought we were considered international and would be provided with the high res CD for free, but I was informed otherwise. I was quite dissapointed with this, so they ended up allowing us to switch to the international photography packages that included the CD. The only downside is we are unable to select the photos that go into our album and will not have our photos posted on a website. I trust the photographer will choose goo pictures and if not, we will have the CD to print from.

This was the best option for us because our second wedding back home is only a couple weeks after we get back from Disney. By choosing the international option, we get our photos before we come back from our trip and I will have the CD to create a slideshow for the second reception.

We had Randy as well. I liked that the CD was included and he and his wife Linda are very nice. Just be sure that no matter which photographer you choose, tell them what style of photos you want; don't assume that since you've seen other examples of their work that that is what they do for everyone. I didn't say anything to Randy in advance and my photos weren't as artistic as I would have liked (the style of the shots; the way they were set up).

[Sorry to sound like a broken record on all posts about Randy, girls. It's just that I didn't think talking to the photographer about styles and shots and such was that big a deal and it really is. Just want to make sure others are aware of this important detail!]

We had Disney photographers for the MK photo shoot (Tom) and the honeymoon shoot (Bryan). Tom was good but Bryan's work was PHENOMENAL. I really think it's luck of the draw, since you don't know who your photographer is in advance. They all seem to be good at what they do, but occasionally you will get someone who is very gifted.

We were able to view all our Disney photos online and they sent us a folio (MK photo shoot) and an album (honeymoon shoot) with some photos they had selected. They turned out great. The CD would have been $1k to purchase now, but should be down to $100 in 3 years, from what I understand.

Hope that helps!

I am using Photography by Taz. Yes I have seen Randy's work. His pics are great (he did my Parents vow renewal). But when I got the calls and emails back from Taz I liked how he was so interested in what we wanted. Asked so many questions. I love his work. He has been great to work with so far.

I'm hoping to use misty miotto, Although I loved maggies pics from randy i just didnt get the vine from his emaila that I got from misty.

We havent booked anything yet as we are waiting till our date is confirmed

we are using Randy as well. I understand that he does creative photography as well as standard photography, does that mean we need to tell him that we would like a mixture of the two.

Thanks.

It wouldn't hurt to be clear on what you want. Otherwise, you may end up disappointed. Apparently, Randy doesn't read minds. ;) Who knew? :rotfl:

I tried to book Misty Miotto, was in the middle of talks with her when I went on a cruise (we'd been playing phone tag, but she knew what date I wanted). When I came back and called (only 6 days later) she didn't know who I was and had given my date away. Her photography is beautiful and people love her, but my experience wasn't the best. Most photographers call whoever was interested as a courtesy, she didn't. :(

I did however book Scoobie. Am paying 1000 bucks more, but he does fantastic work, all on CD, I have him, a second photographer and an asistant, my engagement session (which is at the Grand Floridian in a few weeks) and 12 hours of photography!!! It's 3100 including tax... Our one budget splurge... but he's one of the better ones I found in our pricerange, and Randy Chapman never got back to us.

At this point, I think we are just using Disney Photography. I wanted Randy, but he was booked for our date and time. I even tried switching from 12pm to 10am that day so that we could have him, but by the time I called Disney the earlier time slot had been booked. :sad1:

DF said that switching from Sea Breeze Point to the Yacht Club Gazebo (which was availableat 10am on our date) just so that we could book Randy was going too far... Personally, I like both locations, and I think it would have been TOTALLY worth it, but I respect his feelings.

I'm so sad about Randy, though. DF might call Misty today, so we'll see. I think Disney's photography is nice, but the CD is just SO expensive!

thanks everyone for all the helpful responses, must ensure that I make myself absolutely clear to Randy.;)

Exactly! I second this. We are using Taz as well.

We are using karla fountain... a bit on the pricey side though. We are looking at anywhere from 6K to 8K  but in the end I think photography is the one place to splurge.

Randy's a great guy but his photos are just your typical "point and click". We went with Misty Miotto because we saw a lot more artistic flair. We prefer photojournalistic style of pics more than we like the staged shots.
