What perks transfer to renters?

Hello!

Been renting from owners for about 10 years now and it has become the only way for me now.

I was wondering if any of the perks transfer to renters that we wouldn't get if we paid for our rooms from Disney. Are renters considered DVC owner guests?

Can a renter access the DVC Lounges?

Moonlight Magic access?

Free Laundry?

If so, are these attached to your Magic Band?

None of the membership extra perks apply to anyone but the owners. So, no loungers, discounts, etc. unless you are going with an owner. Even family and friends of owners who go on a points trip would not be eligible without the owner being present.

Points reservations do qualify for free parking, and free laundry for studios as those are part of what is covered vis the owners dues.

Your MB will let you into the laundry room if it's locked.

I suggest bringing detergent pods and dryer sheets. I do that so I have plenty on hand.

There may not be a bottle of detergent in your studio, but you can ask a housekeeper for that if you'd rather. Fabric softener is in a vending machine and pricey, or you can generally buy a name brand in your resort's gift shop.

If so, are these attached to your Magic Band?

Access to DVC perks (other than the laundry room) are not attached to MBs, CMs verify eligibility for discounts & entry to lounges by checking the owner’s digital DVC card & ID.
Not all owners are eligible for perks, btw, if the points you rent are from an owner who purchased resale after a certain date even the owner staying on their own points isn’t eligible for perks.

I would add that its not a "perk" but you avoid things like the resort taxes and parking fees renting as well. So not a "discount" but just not getting charged extra.

Plus since all DVC resorts are considered deluxe resorts your MB will show you’re staying deluxe & you’ll get evening EMH at MK & DHS.

Free parking at the resort and parks is all a renter gets as far as perks

I have not rented ponts in a while but you should get free parking at the resort and theme parks, access to laundry and extra magic hours.

What about pool hopping? I know it hasn't come back since COVID time, but were DVC renters able to pool hop before the closing?
