We have a 3 day hopper ticket for our upcoming May trip (18-21). We will be at DLR park on Thursday and our tickets says it is good for a Magic morning on that day of the week. What part of the park is open during that time. This is our first trip. What should we hit first? It is just DH and myself. We plan on being their before the park opens for the MM on that day. We like to get an early start.

thanks

Most of Fantasyland (Storybookland boats usually not open) and Tomorrowland.

To add to Girimama33's caveat about Storybook Land Canal Boats, I've also found that Casey Jr. Circus Train and Star Wars Launch Bay/Super Hero HQ are not open during MM/EMH.

Looks like it might be best to start in Fantasyland. seems like we could get a lot done pretty fast.

I would say it depends on what you and your husband are most interested in doing. If you head to Fantasyland you can typically get Peter Pan, Alice, and the Matterhorn (all rides w/ no fastpasses and long lines throughout the day) done in the first hour. If your interest is more in thrill rides though you can head to Tomorrowland and head to Hyperspace Mountain and then Star Tours. Since both of those have fastpasses though my personal preference is always to head to Fantasyland and get those rides done while crowds are low.

Have a great trip!

We like both. Since the rides in Tomorrowland have FP and some of the Fantasyland stuff does not, I think would be a good place to start. Being our first trip the DLR (been to WDW many times) we want to do everything. I know it is not possible but we are going to try. I told my husband plan on no sleep those days. We will sleep when we get home!!

I would play it by ear a little...if you get to Fantasyland and Peter Pan already has a long line (>25 minutes), I would skip that and use your Magic Morning to ride the other attractions in Fantasyland. My feeling is that if you're going to have to wait a fair amount for Peter Pan, you might as well wait at a different time in the day when most/many things will have long lines and use the Magic Morning to get as much as possible done.

We've ridden Casey Jr. during MM, but have also found Storybook Boats are closed.

This is my belief too. I won't ride it first thing in the morning if I have to wait more than about ten minutes. Everyone says ride it first thing so everyone goes there first. The lines for Alice and Dumbo are basically non existent at that time but Peter Pan gets to nearly 30 minutes within minutes of the park opening. We skip it, ride other rides, and wait in the long line another time for Peter Pan. Peter Pan, Dumbo, Alice, Toad all get heavier lines as the day wears on. The Canal Boats and Casey Junior also get longish lines. Pinochio, Snow White, the Carousel, and the Castle walkthrough all have reasonable waits even when the park is super busy.

If you get to the gates 30 minutes before opening, you'll be able walk briskly straight to Fantasyland and ride Peter Pan very quickly. It's easily possible to do everything in Fantasyland in the first hour (except possibly Nemo). A suggested strategy from the EMH/MM superthread:

What's the best "touring plan strategy" for MM?

At DL, assuming you are doing Fantasyland for your EA, in order to have the shortest lines, this strategy is recommended:
(0). Arrive before MM begins and go straight to...
1. Peter Pan (always first!!!)
2. Dumbo
3. Matterhorn/Alice
4. Mr. Toad
5. Pinocchio/Snow White/Mad Tea Party/King Arthur's Carousel

I've done this often and it works well. We've always been one of the first to get on PP. That said, it's pretty important to get to the gates well before they open for MM. Pretty worth it to be able to experience all this with hardly any lines!
