And if you have ever stayed there did you like it?

Thanks!

Closest to Epcot. Only slightly more travel time to the Disney Studios, though. We've stayed (as cash guests, not DVC) in a Studio and a one bedroom. The one bedroom was fantastic, but expensive. We wouldn't stay in a Studio again. We'd rather stay at WL or AKL for about the same money.

Thanks! Did you rent from a DVC member or just make a regular reservation? We're considering renting a studio from a DVC member because for our dates it would be $10 per night cheaper than staying at POP. Do you think this would be a good move, if we could arrange it?

The studio at OKW is going to be over $100 square feet larger than a room at POP. In addition, you'll have the kitchenette, a balcony, and two queen beds instead of two double beds. OKW is a very relaxing, enjoyable resort. I love having breakfast in the morning on my balcony.

I really enjoy OKW. We are staying there again in May :cool1: It is close to both Epcot and MGM and a little further down the road it AK. I find it is a good resort to stay at if you have a car. It takes nothing at all to get to the parks and like 2 minutes from DTD. It is very relaxing there. I find that there are not as many children at this resort as there are at the other ones because for some reason people think of it as a old folks resort. I think it is perfect after a day at the parks. It has pools with spas plus they are putting a slide at the main pool. They have the boat to DTD, watermice, basketball, suffleboard(maybe thats why it's for older folks LOL), nice little bar area, Olivia's , a little store, and it's a nice place to just walk around.

The bus service isn't the greatest but I always drive anyway so it doesn't matter much to us. I think it is a good idea to rent from a DVC member. I'd rather stay at OKW than any value resort if you can get it for the $10 per point.
It's a good deal. The down side.....you might end up joining DVC. WE DID!!!

Please consider staying at OKW if you can swing it. It is a really pretty, relaxing resort. The only problem is the extra space will spoil you!

It is close to DTD and Typhoon Lagoon and not far from Epcot. As a member for 14 years, I never tire of staying there. It is my piece of Disney heaven! :cloud9:

I would definitely stay at OKW over POP. With the kitchenette (including fridge, microwave, toaster), you could have breakfast in the room. The grounds are very pretty & quiet. Be aware if you rent from a DVC member you don't get daily housekeeping. If staying 7 nights or less, you get trash & towel service on day 4 (take out trash & replace towels). Daily housekeeping is $25 per day, daily trash & towel is $10 per day.

I just stayed there last oct and it was a great place. It was like a little town with great palm trees, everything in key pastels. This is a large resort and I requested to stay in the 60 buildings(which have elevators)and was a 2 minute walk from the HH. Olivias was great. I did take my six year old and she liked as well, especially all of the flowers. We used bus transportation to epcot, mgm, and mk(no time for AK on this trip was only a 5 nighter)and the waits were not to bad. The bus stops were up closer to the front. Same as SSR which we stayed at in June of 2004. The main theme pool was under constuction for their new slide, but went to the quiet pool and it was great!! Very relaxing and quiet with a few families there too. Would definitely go back.

OKW is our very favorite resort. We stay there regularly and have never had a single problem. The rooms are beautifully maintained, the grounds are gorgeous, and the staff is great. I especially love to stay there in the spring when it is still "winter" back home! We love the laid-back nature of this beautiful resort. Also wanted to add that my KIDS love OKW! We think of it as a place for families, young OR old. My kids enjoy all the critters (ducks and bunnies) and all the pools. By later this month there will be a fun new slide at the main pool, making OKW an ever better choice for the kids. Go for it!

It's one mile from Epcot, 5 miles from the Magic Kingdom, 3 miles from MGM and 7 miles from the Animal Kingdom. :D :D :D

I've lost track of how many times I've stayed there. It's one of our home resorts and we love it. :flower:

This resort is a treasure! Just booked a stay for late Feb/early March today. We always stay in a one or two bedroom as we find the full kitchen and washer/dryer worth the extra points (we are DVC). But the studio is very nice also. Certainly more of a room than you will get at a value resort. Not to diss the values, but more room is certainly preferable in our family!

I will second what was said earlier in that you will be spoiled with all of the additional space. And, I have a 6 YO and 2 YO, and it is also their favorite place to stay. The thing I like about the bus stops is that there are several of them, so you don't have to worry about where your room is located - it is never a far walk to the stop.

Even though our DVC ownerships are at other resorts (OKW was sold out each time we were able to buy or add points), it is always our first choice in booking.
