What paperwork to carry in park?

If you're following a touring plan, what do you acatually bring to the park with you?

I've used touringplans.com so I have something printed out for each park/each day; I also bought a Passporter. Not sure if the Passporter was a good idea, but I heard lots of people rave about it. Actually, what sold me where the nice, small park maps included. Not a fan of the big, fold out maps at the parks.

What I'm thinking is I will just bring the small park map and a copy of the touring plan with any ADR info written on it. Does anyone carry more paperwork (the actual Passporter book) or anything else?

Once I have my daily itineraries completed I type each of them on a seperate sheet of paper, with meal conformations numbers, park opening and closing times, parade and special show times, and any other Info. I might need during the day.

In other words, I carry only a single sheet of paper for each day.

Enjoy.

I typed all my info in word and printed out 4X6 index cards. I am going to store them in a cheapie walmart photo album (less then a buck) and that is what I will have for me with paperwork. I made cards for each day including park hours, times of shows and fireworks and any ADR info for that day.

I made a card for my resort info, Flight info, important numbers (WDW Dining, Hotel, Limo, airline, travel agency, taxi, ME)

I made cards for which attractions are open for EMH and which attractions take Fass Pass. Finally, I made cards for best viewing spots/tips for the fireworks and parades.

I will bring some blank cards too for quick autographs or special notes. I am bringing a small notebook to take down notes during down times for the scrapbook later on.

Always carry a legal photo ID with you.

OK - I am a newbie to WDW. I know that it will take more planning than I do when we go to DL. So here goes the stupid question ... what is a passporter?

I think making cards with all the pertinant info on them is a great idea! I have been thinking about how I would keep track of everything when we go to WDW next year (I have til Sept '07 to figure it out). I am going to check out the touring plans website.

Normally, I create a laminated and spiral bound book with our itinerary, park hours, touring basics, ADR's, and decorated with clipart. I take my driver's license and my room key/ticket media/charge card aka the Key To The World card. That is all I usually need.

The upcoming trip is so short that I am switching to index cards, which will be laminated. I hate the thought of losing my info to a pop-up storm or water ride. I hope this helps. Maggie

Well, I just take TWO sets of itinerary pages with me.

One sheet of paper per day (with that day's info) goes with me to the parks.
The other complete set stays back in the room.

Let the wind blow.

I also take two complete copies of my itinerary with me like Robo does - one to be left in the room, and the other to be taken into the park (one page at a time only). Although I no longer do this, in the past I've just brought a plastic page protector and slipped the next day's info in every night, which seemed to be much easier than lamination, to me.

In terms of paperwork that needs to be carried, I also always take:

- I.D.
- passes/room keys
- photocopy of the backs of our passes (in case we lose them)
- ADR numbers (they're actually part of my itinerary) - do not underestimate Disney's ability to mess these up, even when you double check everything just prior to leaving - it's not easy for a CM to find your name on the ADR list when 3 of the 5 letters are wrong!

Cheers,

Can I print this thread and take it to work so my co-workers know that I am not the only one with a pre-printed plan? They think I'm crazy to be planning my trip 6 months in advance! LOL!

i carry nothing but money, id, and park passes. by the time we get to wdw, i have looked at everything so many times, that i don't need a hard copy any longer. a park map and times guide will provide anything i may need in terms of emh, fastpass, parade times, etc. if it will not fit unobtrusively in my pocket, it ain't coming.

I haven't been to WDW yet, but I also love the maps in the Passporter. I've numbered the attractions on the map in the order I want to tour them, using different colors for more than one day in a park.

I don't go the full size paper route...I print our plans and ADR numbers on business cards, then put them in the top of my wallet. One card per park plan, so about 10 or 12 cards. I usually have two sets, just in case. But it's easy to carry around. Put all my ADRs on one card for easy reference.

We take as little paperwork as possible. Room keys (Credit Cards :thumbsup2), our id's, and a copy of the day's scheduled meals and PS numbers. I ahve a passport wallet that holds that and cash as well as chapstick.

This sounds a lot like what I did--except I printed my cards. I put the cards for the park I was going to in a ziploc sandwich bag and put it in my pocket. I also carried a small notebook which fit in another pocket. I also carried the park map with me.

I also use note cards in a ziploc bag. My fanny pack holds those, park tickets/room keys, ID, plus sunscreen, Tylenol, small disposable ponchos, and the camera (also in a ziploc).

Someone in the family should be carrying a copy of your health insurance card. In the event of an accident/sudden illness you really would not have to want to go back to your room to get it before going to the hospital.

It's a tourbook. You can go to amazon and type in passporter to see what it looks like.

Good idea... we've never made sure of that before. I'll add that to my list.
