do "outside" of all the major parks ?

we went to wonderworks and loved it

We've done Wonder Works and the Outta Control Magic Show (dinner show) there.
There are also some other great dinner shows like: Dixie Stampede, Medieval Times, and Arabian Nights.

We've also gone to Gatorland and have gone Jet Skiing on Lake Buena Vista.

We also enjoy spending a day at the beach-- usually over in St. Pete's Beach. We've also gone to The Daytona Speedtrack tour and Daytona USA, and Daytona Beach for daytrips.

I recently read about going Orange Picking here on this board- and intend to try that our next trip. Someone's also posted before about a spring fed lake that you can swim w/ the Manatee's in. Which I think would be incredible.

We have done the orange, lime, lemon and grapefruit picking first hand and it was great. I would suggest this at the start so you have fresh fruit all vaca. We also did fun spot for go kart racing. We also went to the conservation site donated by WD. It is close to the end of Poinciana Blvd. I am not a nature lover but my kids really enjoyed it. We went to old town this is also not for all so I have heard.

There are alot of spring fed bodies of water that have a large Manatee population in the cooler months and are great to snorkel in in the hot summer months. The reason why they are so popular is that they are always 72 degrees... so in the winter the warm blooded manatee can stay warmer in those waters and the summer months the water is like ice water in comparision. the water is usually crystal clear... spectacular. Blue Springs, about 45 min to an hour east of Orlando is just about the best one I can think of!! the park around it is also very relaxing...

We went...

aww i just checked it out and it said u pick is closed durning summer months :(

Sorry to hear it. Maybe another trip down. There might be a different grove that is available. If I hear of anything I will post it.

Not sure if you consider the water parks as a major park, but we never visit WDW without spending at least one day at either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. These are great ways to spend a relaxing day after a couple days of go go go, at the Theme parks. The themeing is incredible. We will claim a spot in the shade, hit the water slides and lazy river, head back to the chairs with a cold drink and relax.

The Florida beaches are a relaxing way to spend a day away from the the hustle and bustle. If you have a car and don't mind the drive, a day spent lounging by the Gulf of Mexico is fun and inexpensive. We prefer Clearwater Beach and Fort DeSoto Park. Cocoa Beach on the East coast is half the distance than the Gulf and has larger surf.

We drove over to Busch Gardens in Tampa two days. My boys loved the big coasters.
