What options do I have for getting from AKL to the Dolphin for an 8am PS?

I am figuring Taxi might be the easiest/quickest/less stressful? Any idea how MUCH a taxi would be (I've never taken on in my life )? Then, can I walk to the entrance to Epcot from the Dolphin? Can I get to the Main Entrance or just to the World Showcase side?

Taxi is definitely easiest/ quickest/less stressful and I would guess it would cost between $12-20 with tip . (we've taken taxi's quite a few times - although not to/fom AKL) and the most we paid was $20 (with tip) I think). From the Dolphin, You can walk to the front of Epcot by entering Epcot through the International Gateway in World Showcase. If you didn't want to enter Epcot, where would you be going? There might be bus service directly from the Dolphin

I'd be trying to get to Mission: Space! lol... right after breakfast, of course .

The other idea I had was since it is EMH for AK, can I take an early bus to AK, then bus to Dolphin? Would they be running that early FROM AK?

I might just decide on a taxi, just to be sure. Free is good, though.

Prior to 8:00am, the Disney-MGM Studios bus can take you directly to the Dolphin. Simply speak with the driver upon boarding. Bus service starts at around 7:00-7:15.

Does bus service start at 7am for all the busses? I need to get to the MK by 8:15a from the Dolphin and I am not sure if the busses will be running by then.

Wow, people really do continue to need Tyler's reassurance here. A constant theme on this board is always: "will I be able to get to my early PS from my WDW hotel?" and Tyler's answer is almost invariably "yes, they have early PS buses especially for this purpose".
The nice thing about Disney, and the great guys and gals in the purple pants (Tyler's former colleagues) who get us everywhere we need to go, is that they really do have this stuff worked out, so we can all make our PSs, provided we plan properly.
My suggestion is to simply talk to a hotel CM a day or so ahead, and figure out what time you need to get to the bus stop. That early in the morning, I imagine an hour should be plenty of time to make it to an 8:15 PS. Karen's PS at the Dolphin is a bit more problematic, so Tyler's suggestion to take the MGM bus and talk to the driver about your need to get to the Dolphin should do fine, and save you having to get a taxi. I am not at all anti-taxi, but since they already have the purple pants guys in action for us, and we have already payed for it, why incur additional expense; use that $20 for a souvenir or something.

As for your plan to go from your PS at the Dolphin right over to Mission: Space, you can walk to the Intl Gateway pretty quickly, or grab the boat if it is convenient (tho the boat stops at YC/BC then BW before heading to the Intl Gateway. It is still a good poke from the Gateway over to Mission: Space, but getting there early should minimize your line time. enjoy!

Magic Kingdom area bus service for Character Breakfasts start around 6:30am, actually. (First bus is dispatched at 6:15am)

All other locations will vary... typically first bus will be 45 minutes prior to the first character breakfast seating within the area.

(Note: To get TO one of the Epcot Resorts, you need to take a Studios bus, not an Epcot bus)
