What one restaurant would you leave WDW for?

I read about Chevy's in one of the guide books and it sounded good. We also love Mexican food and I would assume it's better there than what you would get at Epcot (just minus the ambience of course!) :) Thanks!

It depends on what you're looking for. Chevy's has good Tex-Mex food. San Angel Inn is more authentic. For my family, that fact alone makes SAI better than Chevy's.

We used to have to make a trip to Logan's Roadhouse but since they recently built one in Wichita, KS (70 mile drive for us) we can go there. On our last trip (May) we only left the grounds one afternoon to go to the outlet malls and to go buy PEPSI.

Thank you all for posting your favorites! I can't wait to click on all the links and check them out. DH and I don't get out to eat much with our DD2, so when we go out we tend to expect better food, service, etc. Great to know of some alternatives in case we fall into a Disney rut!

PS....Ted and Holly:

Ok, so Dixie Crossroads doesn't have anything to do with BBQ, but it is good.

I just caught this going back through and I used to loooovvvveee this restaurant when my parents lived in Cape Canaveral. We used to eat there a few times a year. They have one in I want to say Titusville or Melbourne or somewhere around there. Their shrimp are to die for. Yum Yum Yum! You just made my night...that is one restaurant I already know I will venture away from Disney for a few hours. Do they have those ponds with the Koi fish out front? My DD would love to watch them :) Woohoo! :woohoo:

Flippers in Old Town.....Yummmmm! Can't wait to visit again this March! :yay:

I haven't been to the one in the Orlando area. :(

We're not very upscale, and like to eat where we can't eat at home and where the kids enjoy.

So, for us, its Steak and Shake and Cracker Barrel.
