What "old wives tales" do you still find yourself adhering to?

That if you go outside on a cold day with wet hair, you'll get sick.

Now I know that GERMS make you sick, not the cold, but there is at least SOME validity to this, since being cold can lower your immune system and may make you more susceptible to catching illness.

As far as going outside and catching a cold it may be that spending more time inside with others and less circulation of air leads to getting sick.
