What odd or different item do you pack for Disney

In addition to many of the other things that have already been mentioned, I pack ear plugs and a door stop.

The ear plugs help cut down on the sounds from kids running in the halls, loud neighbors, etc.

I use the doorstop to help me park keep the door open while get my ECV in (and out) of the room.

Though it's been a spell since I've actually been(A trip is coming this August!) , I brought a pack of Little Green Men(aliens, from Toy Story) on our last trip. I had a feeling that Mousekeeping would have their way with it, and they did at my last stay at Pop Century. They treated them like little elf on the shelfs, getting into mischief by being placed all over our room for each night of our stay. They're far from practical, but they were fun to bring along.

I pack all of mine and my kids' clothes in 1-gallon ziploc bags (from dollar store - cheap ones). I put one rolled matching outfit in each bag (t-shirt, shorts, underwear, socks). That way, we know that each bag contains one cute, matching outfit with no decisions to make in the morning - just grab a bag.
I find that when I do this, I don't pack as much. The ziploc bag outfits are very compact as you squeeze all the air out before you put it in the suitcase.

Once the outfit bags are emptied, I have a lot of uses for the empty ziplocs - Keeping receipts together, wet bathing suits. There really are a thousand uses for them on vacation.

I also have a "foot care kit" which is kit with moleskin, scissors, blister band-aids, etc.. I've always made it clear that we stop immediately if you feel a hotspot on your foot and fix it. A bad blister has the power to really dampen a vacation that includes so much walking. My kids have always laughed at it, but shown it off proudly when we talk to friends about how serious I take Disney :)

I am a HUGE fan of the pop-up laundry hamper! We take it everywhere with us now - long and short trips. Really keeps the hotel room tidy.

We bring ice cube trays for ice to use for water and ice packs (using ziplocks for the bag) but it also can be used to separate jewelry, or separate daily medicines.

I've never seen a restaurant place a menu on a plate.

In fact, my meal is normally brought out on a plate. For buffets, I get a clean plate when I go up to the line. And for an all you care to enjoy like at Whispering Canyon, they bring the plate with the meal.

So, just wash your hands after you order, you don't have any food yet. Or use some type of cleaner on your hands. Either way you are covered and clean before you eat.

I've never seen a restaurant place a menu on a plate.

I have to agree to disagree on this one. I have been seated at restaurants that place the menus right on top of the small clean bread plates. I won't say it has happened at Disney but it has happened to me. I try to grab the menu before they place it down.

I bring laundry detergent pods and dryer sheets for our longer trips. The kids and I enjoy pool days, which is when I get some laundry done. It feels nice to pack lighter and not to bring home a bunch of dirty clothes.

Hmm, I don't ever use a bread plate, so maybe I wouldn't notice that. (Celiac disease prevents me from eating bread)

Ziopock bags- use them for everything- but mainly to carry any meds we might need into the park- easier and takes less space than the medicine bottles
Extension chord- helps with charging phones and getting ready with my daughter in the mornings
Night light- sometimes the rooms can be very dark so we place a dim night light in the bathroom
Medicines- all kinds- anything we have in our medicine cabinet at home basically- we’ve had several illnesses come up on other vacations and at Disney
Miniture hand sanitizers- several
Ear plugs- for my kids- my husband snores and they aren’t used to it like me - drives them crazy! lol
Portable Cell phone charger- I have 18 and 16 year olds- we may bring two this next trip- lol
Trash bags for dirty laundry
Pop tarts for breakfast and crackers/small snacks for our backpack
Extra pair of shoes for everyone in case of rain- blisters will do this too you- and band aids in case of blisters
Anti chaffing stuff for DH- it is a trip saver
If going during the summer- frog tog towels to put around your neck in the heat- life saver for my husband who tends to get heat rashes very easily

I haven't seen it mentioned yet but I always take an emergency sewing kit with me. I've never had a trip where I didn't have to pull it out to fix a button, small rip in clothes or do some emergency stuffed animal surgery.

I also bring a thing of Tuff Skin and K tape for an old ankle injury, I recommend it to anyone who has an injury that might flare up with all of the walking at Disney.

Forgot to add- any brace we’ve ever had for an injury- knee braces, ankle brace- my DD is a college majorette and has had several injuries plus my husband had knee surgery- so we have lots of braces- lol And they are generally used by the 2nd or 3rd day at least. Also- KT tape.
With all the walking done at

Cheap rain ponchos
Advil, Benadryl
chapstick
Sunscreen
Ziplocks - i put cameras, phones & wallets in them for water rides

I used to buy unopened Disney Happy Meal toys in bulk from eBay when my kids were little. They were the perfect size for their little hands, kept them occupied while waiting in lines, & kept them from asking me for more expensive park souvenirs.
If they’d start getting antsy, I’d pull a toy out of the backpack.

does this seriously work???

I certainly would not continue to do itif it didn't work.
Its not the most pleasant and maybe its not for everyone.
My sister said she just couldn't stand having it on her feet.
It works very well in my opinion though and it also helps to keep my feet soft.

I will definitely put this on my list to try next time we go. My feet are always an issue for me at WDW... Krocs help somewhat but invariably my dogs are barking by 6 pm..

I enjoy a nightcap in the room after a long day, so I bring a "wine diaper" or two with some vodka or rum for mixing a drink after we're done for the night.

That's the only thing I bring to Disney that I don't bring on other vacations, since at Disney I do not rent a car, and although I get Safeway delivered, they don't deliver hard liquor.
