As a kid I swallowed pretty much everything, including at leat 3.50 in change.
But probably the oddest thing I ever swallowed was at the dentists office. I was about 6 at the time. The dentist had my mouth pinned open with one of those inquisition like torture devices (also known as a butterfly net). As he was poking around in my stretched-beyond-normal-capacity mouth he was using his little mirror attached to a little metal stick to get a better view. Suddenly I heard a very quick intake of breath and saw a strange look come over the dentists face. Not knowing what had happened, I sat there while the dentist quickly ran out of the room, only to return a couple of seconds later with my dad. It was while he was explaining to my dad what had happened that I realized that his little mirror had popped out of it's holder, and I had swallowed it. I really never even realized that I had. But sure enough, when they rushed me over to the hospital, and took an X-ray, there it was. The doctor actually got quite a chuckle out of it, and told me not to worry, that eventually it would find it's way out.

I guess it did, but thankfully I don't recall that either.
