For Silver Lake...

Never stayed there. This is dh and mine first time there... I am very excited and leaving in 2 months... so if there is any suggestions about the resort of the area... let me know...


Dining... what is around the area..
food shopping... what store and how far...

Also just out of curiousity how far is it from Orange Lake?
Is it close?

Any feed back would be great...

I am in the 1 bedroom delux?

I think thats what it is or a1 bedroom villa

I guess that doesn't help me much, but I do know that there is not a bad location at Silver Lake. We absolutley love it there. The only building I would ask to stay away from is building 400 as it backs to a busy road and might be a bit loud. The whole resort is very compact and an easy walk everywhere.

The closest store we found was the Publix at Orange Lake. We took 2 runs over there during our stay and it never took more than a few minutes. So, it is a bit closer to Disney that Orange Lake. I believe it is one stop-light away from Sherbeth Road. There is a road that hits Sherbeth out the back of the resort and you never have to go on 192 to get to the Disney Parks.

I am not soo sure what restuarants are close, I know there are a lot of them all along 192...There is a Burger King and a Chik-Filet very close.

I prefer the older units at Silver Lake and usually request 700 building...it is a great location...Love, Love, love the resort. It also has a small pool bar, snack bar right at the pool and they have several activites during the day...

Other than the pool bar/snack bar, are there any other places on site to eat at? Are there enough activities to keep kids busy through out the day? Biggest question of all.......... Do you have pictures that you can post ?

Whats your check in day? Saturdays are for bldg. 100, 200, 300, 600 or 700, Sunday check in bldg. 400 or 500. If you are in the Silver Lake Silver Points section , then I am not really sure about check in days and buildings., but if you contact the resort and ask for Kristi in reservations, she is amazing and will help you out with everything.

We too love Silver Lake, we own 2 weeks in the older section as well. Great resort, great location, super staff, you will have a great time.
