I always find the Hall Of Presidents FREEZING cold....and the Carousel of Progress...but that's no longer a worry huh...

What deoderant scents do you find attract the most bugs? I usually use lady speed stick Tropical Breeze or Raspberry Burst...(I guess the second is kin of a gimme eh *lol*)

I use Secret Unscented. People don't realize that the fragrances attract bugs/bees, but also that so many people have sensitive smellers and allergies that heavy perfumes and sother scents are really bothersome, especially in the tight crowds like WDW.

DOn't they call it a "mans bag"?? :rotfl: ever see that on Friends? or was it Seinfeld?

Seinfeld was a European Carryall!

Generall though it s is a man-bag.

Joey on friends had the man bag!!! lol

I use secret unscented also! alot of people do get headaches from stronger smelling perfumes in crowds! lol i dont wanna be the reason someone gets sick at disney hehhe sorry for the hijack!!

i dont pack any toys for my dd she justs gets one sleep lovey! lol we buy her so many things at disney to play with she ignores the toys from home! :rotfl2:

Purses?? Of course I am a guy.
:rotfl2: are you kidding me?! You need a purse to match every outfit!! Oh man, I am such a purse junkie you have no idea!! It doesn't matter if it's designer or knockoff, I have them all! All colours, shapes, sizes, fabrics...but when I think about it...I should start stocking up on park carry-all bags in all shapes, sizes, and fabrics...not all sizes since the smaller the better....it's an instance when I wish I had a magic Mary Poppins bag!! Plus it would be another reason to go around singing Jolly Holiday and Supercalifragilistic...well, you get the idea....*lol* :rotfl2:

hand sanatizer.
sat in my mother's fanny pack the whole 16 days we were away.
i now have it and i still don't use it.
Oh we used the heck out of our hand sanitizer ;)

One thing that we brought that went pretty much unused was our camcorder. I just didn't feel like lugging it into the parks. My Kodak DX7590 takes movies which helped. Not as good as a camcorder but it wasn't worth the hassle of bringing it in the parks for us.

to me.. I would rather have it instead of not having it... if you have to buy it in Disney.. you better have a ton of money!

wow, no!!! I'm thinking this time not even bringing my regular handbag (use the SAME one every day, one for winter, one for summer!) Once I get there, everything goes into the "I haven't decided which one yet" bag for the rest of the trip so it may as well all just start there!! I also won't be bringing snacks from home for the room. We're on vacation!! Who wants granola bars from home?!?!? I brought a carryon full last time figuring I'd then have an empty bag for the souveniers, NOT!!! Should have just left them all there!! Also only taking half the clothes!! Found out doing laundry with a drink in your hand is fun!

I not only pack a light jacket for each of us for our vacations (any time of year...middle of summer included), but also a sweatshirt and pair of jeans each (and we are a family of 4)!!! I can't help it!!! My husband just smiles at me, rolls his eyes :sad2: , and packs the suitcase...wonderful man!!

I am the same way. I'd rather have it and not need it than the opposite. Plus we drive down (mini-van) so we can take out the rear seats and bring everything plus the kitchen sink. LOL

I brought an iron and a hair dryer!!! I did not realize that these were in the value resorts. It was such a waste of space in our luggage. I didn't even touch them the whole time. :(

my DH is the bring all man. he packs everything. now he has me doing it. It looks as though we are moving to wdw when we go pump soap, spinny toys from last trip. glow sticks, soap hand sant. shampoo, snacks drinks for the room. cereal. candy snacks for park. bottled water. :rotfl2:

I am not laughing at you, I am laughing with you..... an iron??:rotfl2:

Here's a post I put on another thread of what to bring:

Get ponchos for the rain before getting to Disney. Unless you want Mickey on your ponchos. They are more expensive, but cute!

If you have a car, go to the grocery store and buy drinks and sandwich, snack stuff before getting to WDW. Take a soft-sided cooler bag to pack food. Take a small freezer pack and stick in your fridge or ice bucket each night.

Take all sizes of baggies, you can use them for all kinds of things. Bring quarters for laundry to dry clothes from rain if necessary. (it rained on us everyday every time we've gone!)

Find the lockers at each park entrance. You can store your drinks and dry clothes, esp. shoes (bring flip flops and surf shoes - they're small and flexible)

Bring a highlighter and blank paper if you have people going in different directions. Make your plans the night before and post it on the door each night. bring some blue painters tape. We go through all the stuff we pick up and find fun things to do and then post them on the door so we don't forget. There is so much to do!

When it was my husband and I alone, we would bring small paperbacks and books on tape to do while standing in hour long lines.

I put a hand held tape player in my daughters stroller with books on tape and music to keep her entertained while waiting.

Have fun and good luck!

This is the second place where I've seen Bodyglide mentioned. Can someone point me in the right direction as to where you can find this stuff?? I'd like to give it a try before heading down to "the World".

Thanks!

Thank you for the info Suzimar! I just found some here locally and will be trying it out when we head to Hawaii in one week.

I am a definate overpacker. I know that if I decide to leave it home then it will be the one thing I really wish I had. I find that bringing an extra suitcase (a soft body one that you can fold up) with you can really help. I go to FL to visit my parents as well as visit WDW so I always go home with more than I came with. (I have two extra suitcases my parents lent to me so I could actually get all my souvenirs home.) That way when you're packing to go home and have run out of room for everything you accumulated while on vacation, all you have to do is open your other suitcase and voila!

We overpack food and drinks. What a waste of space. We would always get our groceries at Goodings, which is so expensive. Last summer we went to the Supertarger and realized the prices were the same as at home. Leaving all the food at home will save a lot of space in the van this summer.
