What nighttime entertainment would you skip?

Skip the Star Wars fireworks- the updated show they rolled out last summer is a huge letdown.

I would skip Illuminations. I don't watch Illuminations every trip.
Rivers of Light and the Star wars fireworks are must do's.

I haven't given enough of a poop to see Fantasmic in 10 years at least. Conversely, some trips, I see Illumintations EVERY night. When they blow out the torches I still sometimes get something in my eyes...and I'm a jaded ole meanie who throws rocks at children.

We are another family that would put Illuminations at the bottom of the list if forced to choose, particularly since it is always there and never really changes other than at Christmas. If any of your family are Star Wars fans then I would say definitely do that show--even my DD21 who is not a Star Wars fan found it impressive as did I, and DH and DS18 really loved it. I had asked on these boards if you could do Fantasmic and the Star Wars the same night and people were right that it would be very hard, especially since crowds would be heavier when you are there. You need to be lined up in front of the Chinese theater building for the show to have its full impact, but if you were flexible about view or didn't care too much about the Star Wars show you might be able to do both in one night. We were lucky enough to do Rivers of Light and really enjoyed it, but I think it might be less appealing to younger kids. I would definitely recommend it, since who knows how long this one will last, but get there early and/or get fastpasses--we had the dining package and so arrived about 30 minutes before the show and the stadium was already closed to standby. We always love the MK fireworks.

Totally skip Illuminations. Fantastic is my favorite nighttime show, I try and get to see it more than once during our trips

We hated Fantasmic...waste of our time, we thought. So, that would be my vote.

everything is a can be skipped really. I would see anything that interests you and you haven't seen yet, then you can decide if they are all skippers as well.

We absolutely cannot miss Fantastic! It is our family's favorite! We will probably skip Illuminations and try to see Rivers of Light. Not sure about the Star Wars thing. We don't have hoppers right now. I'm not sure that the show is worth the price to add park hoppers...

Wishes and Fantasmic! have always been must do's for us every trip, usually multiple times each trip. The new MK fireworks sound like they'll be a hit as well. We'll definitely try RoL this time, and I suspect it will become a keeper as well. We are big Star Wars fans, but find the new Star Wars projection show relatively skippable. Might be because Symphony in the Stars was the best show ever, but just not very impressed with the Galactic Spectacular. Illuminations is also hit or miss for us. It's still worth seeing once if you haven't just not worth going back over and over. We go for the holiday endings, otherwise don't make it a priority.

I always schedule the night time shows, but we never make it. For me, once I start thinking about that cattle drive out of the parks after the night time show, I panic and we head out way before!!

But if I had to pick just one, it would be Illuminations. I am hoping ROL is wonderful, and will try to see it next trip.

Definitely see Star Wars and ROL since it is new.
