I want to get to REAS package but I'm not sure when I should make ressies for Palo's. How does that effect my rotation for dinner that night? What dinner seating should I skip? Can you use it for brunch instead of dinner? What night should I make the ressies for? We are going on the 7 night eastern. Will the kids do roomservice that night? Thanks for your help:confused:

Tink -- On our cruise last year we had the same question. We were directed by our knowledgeable disboarders to make reservations the night of our regular menu at Parrot Cay. So, we did. We had late seating as our rotation and so we scheduled our dinner at Palos for the same time so as not to miss any of the shows, etc. It worked perfectly.

Are your children old enough to go to the dining room by themselves? Find out what they want to do. It might be fun for them to be more "grown up" while you are at dinner.

Take my advice CHOCOLATE SOUFFLET [sp.]. DO NOT MISS IT. Order one, order two, order three!!! You won't be sorry.

Have a wonderful time.

Children can also go to dinner with the Oceaneer's Club or Lab. I believe they eat at Topsiders buffet.

Don't miss the first night in Animator's Palate. I would put the kids in the club, unless they are older.

We received our dining rotation on our KTTW cards while in the terminal and I had the PLA rotation. For some reason I had anticipated the APL because I had read those with young children are often on this rotation.

We chose Monday brunch and Friday evening dinner at 8pm at PALOs. There were a lot of tables open so if you don't get a PS for the week I would try this evening for a table.

It worked out to be a great time for us. My 6 yo dd enjoyed spending time in the clubs after the 5pm kids show. It was her opportunity to say farewell to her friends. It gave us something fabulous to do rather than mope around and pack the last evening, lamenting on how it was almost over. It would have also been the THIRD night in Parrot Cay, and after 2 dinners and a character breakfast there, I was ready for a change.

After PALO we picked up my dd at the club and went to the 10:15pm Until We Meet Again stint. It was a great evening.

I highly recommend Friday night!

How old are your kids? My original plan was to let my boys get room service for dinner, but our servers insisted that they still come to the dining room. They did go on their own, and had a great time! They are 12 & 14.

Our kids are 16, 13 and 6. I would let them go to the dinner without us, but the 6 year old may give his sisters a hard time. Maybe I'll just let him go to the OC and the girls go out for dinner. Thanks everyone for you help.

We were on the Western cruise last year and did Palo the night we were at Parrot Cay. The kids ate at Topsiders, then we put the younger ones in the Oceaneers Club and went up to Palo around 8:00. We had the late seating for the cruise and it worked out really well. One piece of advice, though -- the one mistake we made was making reservations for the Palo brunch the day after we ate there the night before. They only do the brunch during days at sea and on Key West day. Our Parrot Cay night also turned out to be the night of Key West -- so it just worked out that way. The problem was that we were too stuffed from Palo the night before to really eat that much at the brunch! We certainly won't make that mistake next time -- we'll spread it out more.
