he surprised me with a trip to WDW!!!

and I mean surprised!!!

I didnt know we were going till we were at the airport lasat Tue morning!!!!

The story was my DD and new Son-in -law were going and we were taking them to the airport!!!

but in reality they were taking us :goodvibes

I found out when they were printing our boarding passes--I was standing out of the way while they were doing this they called me over when they had our names on the screen!!!!

DD said we're not going you are!!!!!

we had the most magical trip ever!!!

did and saw things we havent done in a long time since the crowds werent that bad.

The only downer was we went on EE DH got sick--so bad to the point where I had to get the paramedics and security!!!

it was so nice --after we were back at the hotel the mangers who helped us in the gift shop sent over 2 t-shirts and a picture book!!! wlong with a very nice note!!!

with everything that was going on I didnt pay attention to their names so does anyone know where I can call to find out their names--I'd like to write and let the higher ups know how great we were treated

Dh wanted me to say thanks for all the nice wishes from you

he said he should make a shirt that says

I went on Expedition Everest and the Yeti got me!!!

That's great! In my dreams, will my DH ever do that!

Is your DH okay? What happened? You must have been really scared. :grouphug:

No idea where to get the names. I'm sure Disney will be able to figure it out if you give enough details.

Sounds like you had a great time. Hope DH is feeling better, you would prob have to call back to the hotel or resort to find out the names :sunny:

Don't know where to get the names or anything but I really hope your DH is okay! So scary!

Your story made me teary! What a wonderful guy to work up such a fantastic surprise!

Did he pack all the right things for you?? ;) I can't imagine going on a vacation where I didn't pack my bag! :rotfl:

Wow, what a lucky lady!! And your DH is a real Prince Charming! Hope he's doing well.

thanks for the nice thoughts on my DH.

yes hes doing great. actually he slept while he sent me off to finish up the MK
and sat. we went on the monorail to the resorts and did last minute shopping

he actually packed enugh for 2 weeks!!! I had so much clothes :goodvibes

he said he didnt want to forget anything!!

he had it worked out that DD and me went shopping for "their" trip and while we were gone our new son in law packed.

he had made a list and they just went down the line and putting it in the suitcases!!
DH said they were like when on TV they shown things in fast motion :goodvibes

That is too funny! I can see the guys now... running around packing - trying to beat the clock before the ladies come home. Knowing that if something is forgetten they'll have **** to pay! :rotfl:

What a fantastic family you have. Glad you had such a nice time, what a surprise. Also glad your dh was ok... wow, he and the Yeti sure didn't get along did they? That was sweet they sent you the shirts and book, yet another story of Disney magic.

What a wonderful family you have. I'm so happy for you. Your story gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes. So thoughtful and to think of all the enjoyment they got out of making you happy. :cloud9:

I don't think I could ever surprise DW with a trip like this. We get home from WDW and she is already planning the next trip to Disney. Maybe I'll have to play the part of the "Jerk" and tell her no more disney vacations for a year or two and then try it!

You may have created new terminology-- "Have you Yetied? :rotfl2:

Wow, what a great thing for you! Perhaps I will leave this thread up on our computer as a hint to my DH.

:rotfl:

Congratulations! What a wonderful surprise!!

I'd love to do something like that for my wife, but I always chicken out at the last minute because we treat our money as...well, *our* money, so I would feel guilty spending a big chunk of it without her knowledge. And in our case, a WDW trip represents a substantial expense, so it would have to all come out of shared monies.

Am I weird in this respect? What do others think about this? (When I see those commercials where one spouse buys the other an expensive automobile as a surprise, I always think, "Yeah, but s/he bought it with YOUR money, so don't get too excited!")

What a wonderful DH you have!!! I can only dream that my DH would do that for me! He is not a big Disney fan at all!!! As others have said, I am already planning the next trip anyway before we even get back from the last one! Glad you had fun!!!

thanks for the addresses.

I sure want to make sure these 2 I think they were managers get credit for helping us

another funny part of this story is that sometime in the morning a guy that looked like my DH got sick also on EE!!!
cause the same 2 people that helped us helped them he wasnt as bad as my DH cause said didnt you go on EE this morning

she probably was thinking what a couple of nuts to go on the ride again :confused3

to answer another poster yes I was very scared Ive never seen anyone sweat like that and he was so weak--thats when he just rolled up in a ball in the gift store.

he said he felt so embarrassed but the managers were great there to---they
like a chain so no one could see him

You're not weird at all. Most couples do it the same way. I consider myself lucky because me and DH dated five years before getting married. We lived together a lot of that time but didn't pool money. He was responsible for his bills and I for mine. Once we got married it didn't make sense to all of a sudden start pooling the money, so what we did was set up up a savings account together and maintained seperate checking and personal savings accounts. Things are much simpler that way and we never fight about money. When we take vacations we both contribute half from each of our individual accounts. For this trip I convinced DH it would be a good idea to stay an additional night because of the Year of a Million Dreams promotion. He said it was fine as long as I was willing to pay for it. Problem solved. :)
