What must we see? Chicago

DH and I are hoping to get some site seeing in while in Chicago. We won't have a lot of time...so what must we see. Please remember we have a 5yr old and a 2.5yr old with us. If we get there and decide that we love it and want to stay more time then we may remain on Sunday to do more site seeing.

I went to the Chicago tourism site and there is a lot to see. I need help 'weeding' through them.

The kids would probably love the Museum of Science and Industry or Shedd Aquarium. There is also Navy Pier. All three of those would be fun for adults and kids alike.

Our kids love the Children's Museum at Navy Pier. Not sure you could do the museum there and something else on a tight schedule. The museum is a fun place for the kids. They have a section where the kids can "dig" for dinosaur bones. Another section where it's geared strickly towards the littler kids with a small water table area, a tree house, a pretend fishing area. Another section has a large water area. Yet another section has a pretend bus, a pretend grocery store, a lego type area with bigger bricks. Our kids love it there. They are 2 and 8. Good luck. There's a lot to do in the area.

hehehe, when I first read your heading, I was going to say, yes, you must go see the movie Chicago! lol. I don't know much about the city itself since I've never been there, but I do know one place there that'd I love to see is American Girl Place. Your daughters might be a tad young to appreciate the American Girls Collection though.

The Children's Museum at Navy Pier I have heard is awesome. That might be a good place to go especially if it's cold out. Then you aren't having to worry too much about walking the cold or that kind of stuff. There are plenty of places to eat in the food court and there's great walking around you can do. At this time of year they also have an ice rink.
