I'm planning to upgrade to an iPhone 3GS soon - what accessories do you consider "must haves"?

A specific case or screen cover?
Adapters of any sort for the car?
Chargers or batteries?

You name it, if you think it is necessary, please let me know! :thumbsup2

a case for protection-the one I got was an Otterbox one I am not real happy with it.

this is the case I got just a different color

while it fits and does the job I prefer my DS iFrogz case for his touch and am going to order one for my phone.

this is his case, it is for the ipod touch:

he loves the kickstand feature

here is the iphone version:

What I do not like about it is it is silicon with a hard plastic cover that snaps over it. Very difficult to get on. Just think it is a pain.

Most good cases come with a screen protector if the one you get does not you will need screen protectors.

Travel chargers-

Then maybe some good speakers:

I bought Altec Lansing got them at Marshalls for $20

My DH and I really like the iShades. They are thin and flexible. They protect the screen and give a little cushion to a fall.

As long as you charge each night, you don't really need a car charger (or at least we don't) We just bought a car charger at Sam's Club for $8.00 each and we really don't even need them much.

You will need lots of iTunes cards to buy fun apps!

Have fun with your iPhone

who needs itunes cards????:rotfl:

Just follow the link in my signature for all the free apps you will ever need! ;)

I have over 700 apps now and have only paid for a handful.

Also who needs music when you have the Pandora radio app.

Just got an iphone myself last week..

I have a Skullcandy hard case in blue and I picked up these great screen protectors at the At&T store in my local mall. They're AntiGlare-they have a matte finish to them. I HATE smudges and fingerprints on the touchscreen and this keeps them off.

I got turned on to this great game called Tap Tap Revenge..OMG, so addicting. :laughing:Similar to Guitar Hero.

DH is on his 2nd Frogz Luxe case like the one in the link from Blue.Fairy2 and we'll never waste our money on another one! The bottom section under the round button on the iPhone is really thin and has snapped and broken off. Then when we removed the first case off of his iPhone, little plastic pieces of the black section of the case were stuck on the phone. Got them off but this case is expensive considering the poor design.

See, I LOVE my Otterbox. It takes maybe 10 seconds to put the rubber case on, then snap the hard plastic on. You shouldn't have to take it off. It has screen protection, it's water resistant (not waterproof) and, trust me on this, it bounces when you drop your phone and doesn't damage the phone.

Car charger for long rides in the car....keeps the kids happy with apps and web browsing too!

Hmmm, no problem with DS's but his is for the Touch not the iphone maybe that is the difference.

Mine has stretched and is difficult to get all the ports lined up properly.

Ditto, and mom and dad....I love playing games and browsing, reading ebooks on my kindle app no way would I want to be without my car charger.

I also love my Communter Otterbox but I have never taken off once I got it on so maybe that is why I have had no stretch problems.

I also have a car charger as there have been times, I am not sure how:confused3:rotfl2:, that I have forgotten to charge it. Nice to have that charger when I need my phone on the road.

I love, love, love my iphone!!! Have fun with it!!!!!

I have a Speck candyshell case. It's hard plastic on the outside, and has a gel cushion on the inside. It came with a screen protector as well. I love it, although it is a little bulky (but not nearly as bulky as the Otterbox).

I also purchased a combo fm transmitter/car charger, since my car doesn't have an aux input. The charger has really come in handy. The iphone's battery drains really quickly.
