I think that this will be a good week to watch a few movies. I don't know how many we'll GO to, but we will be renting some.

We watched "Julie and Julia" last night and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed it. We also watched "500 Days of Summer" and that one didn't do much for me.

I saw Avatar for the second time this weekend ... this time in IMAX 3D.

I also saw A Single Man with Colin Firth ... which is rare, cause I don't like sad movies.

Mike...what did you think of A Single Man? I love Colin Firth and have been intrigued by the summaries I've read for this movie. Would love to hear what you thought of it.

My husband and I sat down to watch Tropic Thunder the other day and I made it about 15 minutes into the movie and left the room. He thought it was very funny.

Have you seen "The Blind Side" yet? Phillip and I saw that yesterday and we both really liked it.

Took my mom to see "It's Complicated" (Meryl Streep),
DH and I went to see "Up in the Air" (George Clooney),
and
The whole family went to "Princess & the frog" (:lovestruc)

Hubby has seen Avatar twice, but he's a Cameron junkie.

It's complicated was visually beautiful and funny.
Up in the Air was a great story about human relationships.

I want to see Single Man, Invictus, and Nine.

:3dglasses

I'm avoiding parking lots at all costs, LOL. I want to see "It's Complicated" and "The Nine", but I'll wait a bit. Have been watching movies on tv the last few days. Watched the marathon of "Band of Brothers" on Saturday and thought it was incredible! Didn't watch it the first time around on HBO. Can't wait for regular tv shows to come back!!:happytv:

DITTO, cant take what i call "disgusting" humor which includes a lot of bodily fluid and body noises and references to deviant sexual practices. ugh.

DH and I saw It's Complicated yesterday. I thought it was funny, he thought it was so-so. DD and her DBF saw Sherlock Holmes - He thought it was great, she thought it was so-so. I think me and DD should have stuck together for the chick-flick! ;)

We saw It's Complicated last night and roared laughing. Also saw the Blind Side about a week ago and it was wonderful! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hubby wants to see Invictus and I wanna see Princess and the Frog next =)

We watched The Proposal the other night on pay-per-view. We both really liked it.
I wanted to see Up in the Air, since a lot of it was filmed in St. Louis, but I heard it was pretty depressing.
The only other movie we've seen lately is New Moon, which I could always go see again!

Saw Sherlock Holmes and Princess and the Frog...loved them both. Hoping to go see It's Complicated, Invictus, Up in the Air, and Nine sometime soon. So many movies to see, so little time!

We took our DD 2 1/2 to her first movie the other day - We went to The Princess and the Frog and we all loved it!

The last movie I saw in theaters was New Moon. Next on my list is It's Complicated, The Blind Side, and Princess and the Frog.

I've been watching movies on TV lately. Sex and the City was playing on HBO; LOVED IT! Super funny, but definitely not something for young kids. Of course I watched Christmas Vacation which is my favorite holiday movie.

There was nothing on TV the other night so I decided to watch SAW III on the Sci-Fi channel... Yuck, yuck, yuck! The person who thought of the traps needs to be examined for mental stability. I turned it off after 10 minutes.

I'm done with disgusting movies. They're such a waste of time, although I do think the Scary Movie series is pretty funny. :thumbsup2

LOVE Sex and The City. Watched one of the SAW movies several years ago, and I agree, very disturbing. I need to see what is playing in the theaters here and in small town close by. More than likely will just be renting movies this week, though.
