We have been to DLP for the last two years at christmas time in 2010 we went 2nd week in dec and last year we went 21st-24th dec.
We booked last month on the 2 day night free deal and decided to fo in Feb half term.........now I have doubts!!

Will it be cold, wet, dull in feb as no special cosy christmas feel?

Or are we better to change to xmas or even end of March?

When is quieter?

HELP someone please, hubby and I are so confused :confused3

I can't help with Feb but I can tell you that the end of March was surprisingly warm and really quiet.

I would consult the list of school closures as March being quiet really depends on Easter holidays. We went March 1st 2010 and it was so quiet. We then went March 1st 2011 and it was mental!!

End of March is likely to be busy this year as Easter is the last weekend of the month.

were going march 26th we (irish ) are the only ones on hols that wk. no French holidays and the UK breakup the 29th or so ive bn told. of the 3 id go in Dec but we cant afford it really as were just back from majorca and we have bn to dlp this yr already.

You´re welcome !

I hope that it will be not that full....

Well its going to be very cold for sure, maybe a little snow too, and rainfall is a definite. But also it will be more quite as compared to december with the christmas and children's holiday time when it gets loud and crowded!

The kids break up on 22nd March and go back on 7th April here in Wiltshire. I know this as I checked it out and booked DLP for 25th March.

We break up here in south wales on the 22nd march too, which is why i'm also considering the special offer to book a trip that week :thumbsup2

I've only been that late in March once before for the 15th anniversary and it was wet that weekend, but on the whole always find mid march weather is lovely, we have had a mixture - snow the first time but that was back in 2004, since then it's been dry and sunny. In 2009 we walked around in without coats, it was beautifully warm. :)

we have been both in feb and march - when we went in february we took big coats hats gloves etc and found that most of the day we only needed jumpers

there was nothing extra in the park so you may find it a bit quiet compared to christmas

I also went in march 5 years ago and we missed our eurostar because of snow !! Paris was COLD but i think that was just a freak of nature - who knows what the weather is going to be like

we are going first week of dec this time and i am going to start stockpiling thermals and gloves now as you never know !!

Good luck !!

just my opinion but i would DEF opt for dec...much more magical time to go and i think you will miss the amazing xmas theming if you stick to march x
