My husband (who never plans anything and doesnt care what I plan, as long as I tell him when and where to show up :love2: ) has just told me yesterday, that if I can get a rate comparable to the $99.00 I am paying for a value resort, for a moderate hotel, he would be up for that. :cheer2:
(mind you, the only reason I booked the ASSR is because he is a sports fanatic and I want him to have a magical time. Not my first choice  )
So, in case Disney decides to put a code out there for November, and I get lucky enough to call in time to get a room, which resort is a good one?
There are 4 of us, DH, Me, DD14, DD11.
What are your favorites and why? :flower:

POR! It's a great resort with quite a few things to do and a nice theme. I would recommend the AB for your family. You should be able to get a deal in November for around $99/night when the codes come out, as long as you aren't going at Thanksgiving. And, don't miss Bob "The Piano Man" Jackson in the River Roost Lounge! :rotfl2:

POFQ gets my vote. It's a smaller resort and easy to navigate and the grounds are beautiful. The resort shares busses with POR, but stops at POFQ first.

I would also say POFQ. I love this resort. I have stayed at POFg, PORS (when it was Dixie Landings) and CBR., and FQ is absolutely my favorite

Another vote for POFQ here :cool1:

I think this is a hidden gem, and is like staying at a deluxe without the $$$ IMHO :goodvibes

good luck and enjoy your trip

CSR hands down. Your kids will love the main pool area and the slide. CSR has the best pool of all the mods, no shared transportation to and from the parks and is centrally located to MGM, AK, and Epcot and just across the street from BB. Check out my website for pics, links and info

POR is GREAT! It has Boatwrights, were the breakfasts are fantastic. I don't think I've ever had a better breakfast than the ones I've had at Boatwrights. You have Bob Jackson in the River Roost lounge, a great Piano Man; fun and entertaining for the whole family. There are lots of quiet pools, plus Ole Man Island pool is fabulous AND you can legally pool hop to POFQ and their pool is just as nice as Ole Man Island. My kids also took advantage of the hair wrapping and charicatures while we were there. You can also rent bikes, surrey bikes, and boats. They have a horse drawn carriage and the boat to DTD. My dad and son went fishin' at Ole Man Island during our 2003 trip and they had a blast. You just rent a pole for 30 mins and fish from the pier, must be a guy thing ;) . I haven't stayed at POFQ, but we visited the pool there and the outside of the rooms looked more "hotel-ish" to me than our bldgs at POR. I suppose though that you could choose either one and enjoy both. You can catch a boat between the resorts or walk about ten minutes along the river. You really can't go wrong with either of these two.

CSR is a great resort. Our kids loved the pool area and my husband loved the Pepper Market. Definitely check out buzz's site.

CSR is our favorite resort. We love the beautiful landscaping, the pool area (great margaritas) and the buses are great too. We vote for CSR!
