What makes you smile ?

looking at the calendar and knowing that beginning this week both ds and dd are out of school for the summer for ds-no more getting him to the bus stop, backpacks or hearing complaints about homework. for dd-just knowing she's successfully finished up the college courses she was agonizing over this past quarter. it's like everyone in our family has breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Thought of another one.

We are taking a trip across the pond to surprise a friend for her 90th birthday. The thought of seeing the look on her face when she sees us just makes me grin from ear to ear. I think it's been 6 years since we've seen her.

animals of all kinds...especially watching my dog fly through the park with a huge stick in his mouth and prancing around like it is the most amazing day of his life (he does this pretty much every day) you cant help but get caught up in his happiness and enthusiasm for the little things

My daughter, and seeing how she's grown into a confident, strong, smart, independent young woman.
Seeing DH come in the door each night. With so many friends and family members divorced, it makes me smile to know that he is still coming home to me.
Knowing that tomorrow is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL until August 31st!
(sorry, I'm feeling a little giddy over that last one!)
