Help me choose. Here are my thoughts...

If I get a FP for MSEP, I'll still have to get there early enough to get a decent spot for my kids to see. Once the parade is over we'll have to scout out another spot to watch the castle lights and fireworks

If I get a FP for wishes then I can get a spot to watch the MSEP towards the end of the parade route without much hassle then go to the wishes FP location leisurely without having to worry about a decent spot since everything is above us.

Am I right to think it will be easier to get a good seat at the end of the parade route without having to get there an hour early? And does it matter how early you get to the wishes FP location to get a good view?

MSEP. We got a spot right in front of the castle, and we did not get there early. DD and I were booking it to get there, actually. We moved from that awesome spot to the FP+ spot for Wishes. It was meh. I definitely wish we hadn't moved, as I had trees obscuring my pictures. Tinkerbell did fly right over us, though, and it wasn't nearly as crowded. As soon as they let the rope drop on the MSEP FP+ spot, the people started crushing in.

So the wishes FP location has trees in the way of your view? What about the MSEP FP location to view wishes?

What if you get a FP+ for both? Has anyone tried it? Is there time to get from one viewing area to the other?

We didn't find there to be trees blocking our Wishes view. Maybe the other poster choose an odd angle to watch?

The MSEP spot is too close to the castle to really see all of Wishes, you need to be farther back. But it is a perfect spot to see the castle projection show so if you do the parade one, stay through the castle show and then quickly work to move back from the castle a bit down MainStreet.

Yes, we've done that multiple times. It is extremely quick but you do have to push against the crowd some since you are going in the opposite direction as everyone else.

Awesome. Thanks.

If we stay there until the projection show is over, how hard is it to move to another good location to see fireworks?

We know the park well and my kids have no issues with quickly weaving through crowds without me holding onto them so it is relatively easy for us. If you are new to the parks or not very aggressive in your movements or are weighed down with a stroller, I wouldn't bother attempting a move. It is likely to just lead to a lot of stress as the hub area could be packed in (not sure when you are going).

We're going the second week in May. I can be aggressive, but we'll have a stroller and possibly a wheelchair. If we did both Fastpasses...is it just as hard to get to the other location?

We did both this last trip, with a stroller. It was a little hectic but possible.

If I had to choose one, I would go with the FP+ for MSEP, then head toward the gates on main street to watch Wishes. Robo has a map explaining the strategy.

If I had it to over again, I would do both.

It is pretty easy to get to the wishes location, where it is now. Aren't they making changes to the hub though? I'm not sure if that will effect how easy it is to get from one spot to another or if they will change where the wishes FP location is or when all these changes will be done.

Well darn...that may mess up all my plans now. I wonder if there's a way to find out if the FP viewing areas will change during May

Nope.

But, you should not have any trouble finding out if and when they DO finally make any changes and THEN deciding to change your FP+ choices at that time.

Here's a map that shows the locations.
If you choose FP+ for MSEP only, I've included red arrows to show where to MOVE
for viewing Wishes (and Celebrate the Magic) right after the parade passes the parade FP+ reserved area.
