What made you want to go to Disney in the first place?

I had no choice, my first trip there was -7 months old (in the womb) but apparently, I wanted to be there, because shortly after getting home, my mom had me early. I was a little too late. :sad2:

So the next time, I was 2. Also, no choice. :woohoo:

Mickey Mouse Club(original) and Wonderful World of Disney tv shows made me want to go to Disneyland for the first time.:earsboy:

I never grew up on Disney. Our family vacations were mainly either local or to Virginia to visit our uncle in Williamsburg. But I always wanted to go.

My DH on the other hand had been to WDW atleast 2-3 times as a kid. So we decided we would go to WDW for our Honeymoon in 1993. Then in 2001 we brought our two boys for the first time. And went back in 2005, 2007, 2009 and a Disney Cruise in 2008.

We love it!!!

For me it was the original Mickey Mouse club, and then the Disney shows on T.V. my paretns never took me though, my first trip was in April 2006 with my DH and two kids, who were 12 and 14 at the time.

I have been back 3 times since then and am going again this Sept. I can't imagine life without going to Disney world anymore.

pretty much the same as anyone else in the 60's/70's: grew up on Disney and watching WWoD. Saw the shows on DL and as soon as they announced a park in Florida my dad said "we're going there!". (we already visited family in Tampa every other spring.) Had the concept art of the castle from Life (?) mag cover on my bedroom door while we waited for it to be built and visited the visitors center while most of it was orange groves and mounds of dirt!

So, that first spring we made of first of many trips!:)

:wizard:

My husband had been nagging at me to take the kids there for YEARS. I had this misconception that it would be childish and lame. I finally caved in one year and said, "Geez, okay, we'll do 3 days at Disney and the rest of the vacation at a beach." The more I researched the trip, the longer our time grew at Disney and the shorter our beach trip got. :lmao: After planning that trip, I became the Disney obsessed geek of the family.

I went to disneyland as a kid, but never been WDW. I was born in orlando and my mom moved me away while I was still a baby. My own children never went to wdw either. First husband never wanted to do anything. I am remarried and my husband took me in 06. I loved it. Havent been back yet, but I will someday. Jo
