What made me happy/ smile today thread

DS12 went to a waterpark with Boy Scouts today. The leader's wife drove her van, DS rode with her. I had to smile when she told me that he and his friends giggled the whole way to the waterpark and back! AND...that he was very polite and well behaved.

I have a little boy in my class that has had problems transitioning to table foods(toddlers).he took a bite today and instead of spitting it out he started chewing and then his little face lit up with a smile and he began clapping. The next few minutes were spent watching him discover a food he liked and clapping for himself. I couldn't stop laughing, he was adorable.

Some of these good stories are just so cute!! I got a 10dollar Wendy's giftcard and bought a chocolate frosty with it so far. On a hot day like today, it made me happy!

I posted yesterday and I'm posting again. I'm really happy today because my mom said she's considering getting us an INDOOR cat when we move to a bigger house! She said if it's small and 'cute' we may get one. I have hope now.

It makes me happy that I can stay home tomorrow. It's been over 100 degrees for as many days as I can remember and if I don't have to go out tomorrow, I can stay in the A.C. all day long.......

What made me smile today is spending some time with my DD 21 doing what i call our Wed. Walkabout ( doing some errands etc).
Also, my other DD that just started her first job, came home with a certificate of achievement for her training. And maybe this is not very compassionate, but i'm happy for her she got a better " grade" than another girl that started the same time.

I had my hula class tonight that one of my friends teach. So there are the serious moments but then there are moments of laughter between my friend another student and myself. It really is a stress reliever and positive environment.

My Princess who just turned two has become a cuddle bug. Today she hugged me, then kissed me, then gave Eskimo kisses, followed by butterfly kisses. My heart melted into a gigantic puddle onto the floor.

Its my last day of work I don't go back until 22nd August. I fly to Orlando on Tuesday, and last night I got two eggs out of my hens. Lastly my collie who has been so fussy to eat ate a can of dog food last night and most of one this morning.

Got a new computer...yeah 4 me!!!

Had a fun shopping trip & dinner with our teen grandsons at Annapolis Mall over week-end.

Our 2nd oldest grandson (17), came over to take his ole' Nana & Pop Pop for a ride in his new wheels. Sweet!
He's a HS senior this fall and parents helped him buy a used car as he'll be commuting to college half a day.

Received nice pix today of our sweet grands in Colorado starting school. Next best thing to being there!

Our DD3 & grands are txt/fb'ing us w/pix while touring The Big Apple.
We'll have fun family get together tomorrow when they spend some time w/us before returning home to NC. ♥

Monday will be good bye to summer and our fun annual back to school celebration outing with our local grands.

Smiling yesterday! First day of school for my 3 DSs. DS17 came home all smiles because the "Advanced Acting" teacher hugged him and welcomed him with open arms, even though he hasn't had the prerequisites of Drama I and Drama II. He's happy, I'm happy!

DS15 was worried about Pre AP Art, that he wouldn't be talented enough. Came home smiling, his portrait was one of the best in the class! Teacher said it showed character!

DS12 said ALL of his teachers are awesome and FUN!

Smile for today...went to lunch with my friend Mary!
