What made me happy/ smile today thread

This is such an AWESOME idea for a thread!! :thumbsup2:goodvibes
Thank you, OP. Life has been a little bit stressful the past week or so, and all of these happy posts is a good reminder for me to just take a step back for a moment and slow down to enjoy life...

There are so many things that DD does on a daily basis that make me smile, but the thing that I'm smiling about today is knowing that after 3.5 looong years, our adoption will finally be complete next month! We can finally start the next chapter in our life as a family!!

AND...We can FINALLY start planning the Disney Cruise we'll be going on next year to celebrate our first adoption anniversary!!!

My life - DD(4) wishing DS (2) a happy birthday this a.m. and telling him he was "officially 2 now!" and also - paying off my car today!

Disney - the nice person on the September board who suggested some wonderful craft ideas and way to pass the days "Disney way" until are next vacation :goodvibes

Life: My DH works mobile out of a van all day. He called me about 10 minutes ago and said, "I'm getting ready to drive by the house ... watch for me!" When he drove by, he slowed way down and blew kisses at me out the window! I know the lady in the car behind him thought he was a nutjob

Disney: Thinking about POFQ and how excited I am to be staying there for the first time, all the exploring we will be able to do around the resort this time because we're staying longer, and just the thought of going in general has me smiling today.

life : Happened last night but i'm still smiling so i guess it counts lol. I play an online game called My Virtual Kingdom ( very family friendly if anyone is interested), and a friend on there knew i had a rough day yesterday. He had me laughing and teasing and just plain joking that i was laughing by the time i signed off.

Disney : Walking past the many many photos lined on the mantle and remembering our trips : )

I had my first sewing lesson(ok, I am a late bloomer at 44) today and I am just so excited to learn something new!

My 18 month old daughter learned a new word "Stuck"....I panicked at first until I was certain I heard the "T" :rotfl:

Had a toddler who cried most of the day. She came in my arms and and snuggled her head on my shoulder and was a very happy to be there. Calm. So sweet.

You have a sweet DH!

My smile today... No school here today and my 3 boys are happily playing games and watching tv together. Rare. They are 17,14,12.

Disney smile...we went to Disneyland last summer. I love that my DS11 stood in line with me to hug Minnie. So sweet!

Today, I was in the drive-thru at McD's and there was an elderly couple getting into their truck next to me (the way the line wrapped around the building, I was actually blocking them in from being able to pull out). The old man was VERY carefully helping his wife climb into their BIG big truck, and even had a wooden step stool he had clearly made for her to get a boost. Poor thing actually nearly fell trying to get in but God bless him, he helped her get up into the passenger seat. Such love! Then he went around to the driver's side and got in, buckled his seat belt and started the engine, much to my horror...he had forgotten his step stool! So I threw my truck into park and jumped out (holding up the line) to run to his truck and stop him before he forgot it or worse, backed over it. He rolled down his wife's window as I waved my arms frantically and I picked up the stool and showed him. He was SO happy I stopped him! He thanked me profusely while his wife wheedled him about his "forgettin'". Everyone left happy.

As for Disney...still planning my September trip so thinking about that each day makes me smile.

Hmm...today I had a bowl of hot cream of wheat with tons of sugar and honey

Its FRIDAY :goodvibes

Today I get to have a lovely matcha tea latte and I have been looking forward to that all day and it is sunny so maybe I can sit out and finish this book I got and fell in love with yesterday

The little girl at work who got dropped off this morning, and the first thing she does is come up to me with a smile on her face and gives me a big hug. Moments like that are why I love working with kids. :goodvibes

And I agree with the poster above me. It's Friday! :cool1:

My kids made me smile this morning. When they are happy so am i and they all woke up happy today and three are teens and on is 21. I love my kids so much : )

Disney.. IT just makes me happy!

Happiness is the guy at Panera bringing me my mac and cheese out to the car that he forgot to bag. They could have just waved off on it, but he did the right thing and brought it to me!
OH and Lemon Chicken Orzo soup is coming back this week!!! That will even make Grumpy Smile!!!!

Disney - Getting excited that I can make my ADR's soon!!

I got to eat a turkey lunch meat sandwhich for lunch :)

Am reading a book called Kingdom Keepers and I can imagine exactly where they are at. It makes me happy knowing that I can do that ^.^

While looking after my dgrds 4 he ran to me and gave me a big hug and told me he loved me lots. Not to be left out my dgrdd (turning 2 in June) ran to me and gave me a big hug and kiss. She doesn't talk yet.

Disney? I can't wait to go back and may end up going to Downtown Disney for a day before my next cruise.

I got a phone call from my sister today, she has booked a trip to the beach staying where my dd has cheer camp and she was telling me how excited they are. When I asked her when they are going she told me and I laughed out loud because that's when my DDs cheer camp is. We will be there along with a million cheerleaders, :lmao: Her son will be in heaven! :rotfl2:

Disney makes me happy daily. Can't wait to make ADRs soon!:cheer2:

DD is sick (so am I), so she was asleep on her little princess couch in the living room. DS, who is just a baby, crawled over to her, peered down at her sleeping face, and rested his cheek gently against hers for a moment before moving on. It makes me so happy to see that love. :goodvibes

Seeing my daughter inducted into National Honor Society

A friend posted a picture from her Disney cruise today in Hawaii. That made me smile too

Can I just say getting off work today? We worked so hard and I was so relieved to head home! Sometimes it's the little things.

As for Disney, reading more about Port Orleans French Quarter today made me smile. We've never stayed there and the more I read about it, the more jazzed (pun intended) I get. :)
