Whenever I go on vacation, I usually try to squeeze every last minute out of my trip. For instance, if we're making a weekend trip to New York, I usually book an evening flight on Sunday night so we can spend a few hours in the city before we have to leave. When we visit DW's family in Pennsylvania, we don't leave until late afternoon even though it's a 6-hour drive. We don't typically do much on our last day at WDW, but we never book AM flights coming home.

A lot of my friends and family are just the opposite. The'll get up extra early on departure day and get home before noon. For me it feels like a waste of valuable vacation time. How about you?

I voted for "I try to squeeze in a few extra hours of fun on the last day", but unfortunately It's not something we've ever achieved. For example, last December our flight wasn't until the evening, so we made plans to get packed and get out somewhere for half a day at least. This was not to be because I got a chill from getting wet the night before and wasn't very well all night and most of the next day. Not only did this mean that we couldn't go anywhere, but we also had to have our room check out time extended to allow me to recover a little. :)

Oh well, perhaps next time! :)

Generally, if I fly I squeeze out the extra hours. If it is a long drive, I often get up and leave early.

We are usually the get up and get home type. I like the extra time at home to finish up laundry, do grocery shopping, etc. before work the next day.

On shorter trips we have been known to put in a few hours in the parks before heading off to the airport, but I think the above is what we do most.

I always try to stay as long as possible. My Dh is pretty much the opposite, he is a " get up and on the road" type. We usually end up doing somewhere in the middle.

My plan is arrive for my vacation as soon as possible and leave as late as possible...

I definitely try to sqeeze every available second out of the vacation that I can. I take the earliest flight I can into the airport, and the latest one out. :)

If I am flying I do like to squeeze the most out of a trip as possible. If I am driving I usually get up early so I can go home soon though. And if it is not really a true vacation, just visiting, I will leave whenever it is convenient or cheapest for traveling.

Since it's a 16 hour drive from Florida, it works out best for us to get up and go.

If we were flying, I'd squeeze in as much fun as possible before we left. :)

I want to squeeze in very last minute, but my SO would rather leave as soon as possible. That's where ever we go, not just WDW. But it's especially true for me when we're at WDW. I don't wanna leave.:o

every last minute, and we're usually on the first flight out too LOL!

Once we flew out at noon--it was way too early.

When we drove at Christmas, we went to MK for EE at 7am and left Orlando at 1pm

I'm a "vacation's over, let's get home and start planning the next one" kinda girl. :)

I voted get up and go on home. Usually I am ready to go!

I'm with Dan......earliest flight possible there.......latest flight back!!

I definitely want to get to the traveling back in the morning. I don't really care for the "4-day, 3-night" deals because that 4th day I don't go to the parks! I end up having to go back and use a day. Good way to get a lousy room 80 miles from everything at WDW! Give me a 3-day, 3-night deal. I'd be much happier. I need that break between the "craziness" of vacation and getting back to work. I don't see how people can get in at 10 or 12 midnight and then be at work at 8:30. Not me!!!

Get up and go for me. I like to have a few hours at home to unwind from the travelling.
