What kind of job do you do from home?

The thing is, most of us don't have much money right now, so ANY start up cost is defeating the purpose, plus if we don't have any money, how do you pay to start up.

I also work from home for Arise, have been doing it for 3yrs now, while its not a get rich quick scheme it does help with additional income since hubby been out of a job since Jan. 2009. I'm currently servicing Disney dining and I really enjoy it pays about $8 per hour.

With three children, 1 in college, I'm always looking for other ways to make additional money.

I agree. I was a user of Isagenix first. I needed to lose weight last summer and used it to help me lose 18 lbs. I am now at my goal weight, but I continue to use it b/c I love it and it provides exceptional nutritional. I decided to start selling it to help pay for the cost of buying it. But I now make more than I spend on the product - enough more to keep doing it. Each month my income from Isagenix goes up.

Not all MLM companies are bad - many are very good. Isagenix can be very lucrative. But you do have to love the product in order to sell it.

If you have an RN, there are great telecommute case management positions out there. Usually a couple of weeks training at a home office, then everything done at home on the phone and computer.

I work full time out of the home, but have served as a consultant for the last 10 years, done on the computer and/or phone right from my home.

I wouldn't want to be cooped up in the house doing it full time though.:scared1:

I would love that info also please!

I'm a SAHM mom of a 5 yr old and a 15 month old. I need to do some supplementing to our income. I've been thinking of a daycare at home but don't wanna be commited all day everyday. I think I may look into substituting. Anyone have any experience with that?

I work at my kids school. It doesn't pay much, but it is nice to be on the same schedule with them. I would love to find something to do from home to make a little more $.

My oldest will start college in Aug. This might help me to pay some of those extra bills!

I know that I've received quite a few PM's. Unfortunately, I'm unable to reply to them all. I'm not able to state my employer name, but I'm sure that if you do a bit of research you can figure it out. There's really only two major tv retailers and only one of those is located on the Gulf Coast of Central Florida with a female CEO -- lots of hints there :teacher:

With this job, you are an employer with PTO and a 401K plan. However, you will be scheduled to work the hours they need you -- most evenings from 6 pm to 3:00. My shift is 6 to midnight. Some are 7-1 and some are 8-2, you get the picture. You have no control as far as the hours you work or the days. However, you are given a set day off each week. And you can also pick up hours of those giving them up. I've been a WAH rep for 4 years and I love it.

As far as Arise, yes, you do have an upfront cost. But you are an independent contractor. The benefit of this is that you can select the clients you want to work for as well as the dates/times that you work. That's a big plus for me. I too will be working with Disney dining. I won't be making millions but it will work for me and my schedule and I get to help make your Disney dreams come true

I work from home as a Registered Health Information Technician( RHIT). I code medical record charts for a hospital. It does require the minimum of a 2yr. associate degree.

hmmm...tv retailer? my search came up empty. any other hints? lol

I work from home running a catering department for a nationwide restaurant chain. People call me, place there order and I enter it in to a system and send it to the appr. restaurant location. If a delivery driver is needed i assign them to the job. I love it! Problem is that there are only 12 others like me across the nation. It is not at all a job that is hiring! I am lucky I still have it!

I started doing online surveys at the end of July. I made almost $400 in 5 months. It's not much and definitely isn't a living but it's a nice little supplement to my part time job. My goal is to make $100 a month and have an extra $1200 to spend on vacations and outings in the summer (we call it our fun fund!).

I only register with sites that pay cash for taking surveys. I don't do any of the sites that require you to buy something to make money (like sign up for an offer and you'll get $5). I also don't do any of the sites that pay 1 cent for clicking on their e-mails. Those take too long to add up and I don't think it's worth the time.

Sometimes, I get free products to test. I got 2 boxes of mac and cheese that I had to cook and taste. They paid $4 for the qualifying survey and $8 for the follow-up survey. So I made $12 and got 2 free meals. Another site sent me 2 tubes of lip balm to test and then I made $6 on the follow up survey. The most lucrative one so far was one that had me track my 14 year old's snack food intake over 2 weeks. They sent me a Palm Pilot to enter everything into so it only took a few minutes a day. They paid $4 for the qualifying survey, $55 after I sent the Palm Pilot back and $10 as a bonus so that one was worth $69!

Most of the survey are for a dollar or two and take 15-20 minutes, but occasionally I get some bigger ones. If you want to get started, just search on "paid online surveys" or "online surveys for cash." You'll get lots of sites to review. Just read the rules of each one carefully and only sign up for the ones that you think will work for you.

I've tried both ChaCha and KGB and find that I can make better money on KGB then I did on ChaCha. In my opinion, it is also easier to actually get the money from KGB then from ChaCha.

I also do paid to read e-mail and paid survey's though I really do not earn much money from these at all. Of course, I only do three different sites so that might be something but I've had trouble finding legit companies.

Another option is writing for places online that ask for articles and also if you have a web blog, writing for companies that pay you for writing different types of content. The only downfall with the second is you have to have an established web blog; though that usually just means writing in it for anywhere from 30 days to 90 days.

I have been looking for new opportunities though as at the end of February, I may be out of a job. So I too am open to suggestions for work from home opportunities.
