What kind of creepy crawlies are there in Sept?

This will be our first trip to WDW and are thinking about getting a cabin. It will be myself, dh, dd 4.5, and ds 2.5. We love all the recreational activities that FW has to offer, and I love camping (although I have never camped anywhere other than our home state of Illinois). I am a big chicken when it comes to bugs and wouldn't want creepy crawlies ruining our vacation.
:scared1:

So my questions are:

1. What kind of bugs can we expect?

2. How prominent are they around FW?

3. Are they an issue *inside* the cabins?

Thanks for any input!

We have been at FWC several times at all different times of the year and have not had any trouble with bugs at all. September is the tail end of love bug season so you'll see a lot of those flying around. We have never seen bugs INSIDE the cabins at all. Be prepared for mosquitoes. That's about it.

not sure where you're from but I know LIZARDS freak some of the northerners out. :earseek:

I'm not too worried about the lizards. I do remember those from my last trip to FL when I was 13....I'm more concerned about the bugs.

ok - niot to freak you out, but you did ask so.......

we have gotten a cute little frog and a big nasty wolf spider in our camper on two different trips to FW. it was a common northerner camper mistake - we left our shoes outside over night and then put them in the camper in the morning before we left for the parks. (incase i rained - like it does almost every day in FL) the critters that had crawled in our shoes came out to explore and when we got back to the camper we found them. Never again. shoes get stored inside the camper or car at all times. no critter problems inside ever again.
