What kind of car selection late at night?

We will be travelling to MCO on June 1. I have to work that day until 3:30, so we will not be able to get a flight until evening, and get into Orlando between 10 p.m. and midnight. Will there be any decent cars available through Dollar or National that late at night? Has anyone gotten in that late, and what kind of car did you get? (It is a Sunday night, if that makes a difference.)

We flew from Mn to MCO early Jan last month and got in past just around 12:30 a.m.

National's selection was excellent. A very full lot of all sizes and an attendant to help you.

However, we waited in line at the counter for half hour because only l clerk working. that late at night. That was a bummer late at night.

We had a totally different experience when we arrived at midnight on Jan17th-absolutely nothing left on the lot except giant white van and a compact car or two! We had reserved an SUV. Alamo and National customers chose from the same lots now. Cars were being brought onto the lot very slowly and we ended up with an SUV that we found sitting on the side with two other "special" cars. These had no keys in them and we had to have an attendant track them down for us. I really think it's the luck of the draw-availability probably varies from day to day, hour to hour!

Alamo and National customers chose from the same lots now.

When we were there last week, Alamo and National shared the same space in the garage, but, their cars were separate.

Gail, what do you mean about sharing the space in the garage but the cars being separate? I'm trying to picture it. Are there still the aisles for National only? Are the cars all divided by Alamo/National?

Thanks! I just want to know what to expect with National's EA or full size aisle this time around.

When I was there last Thursday, we had a National reservation and picked from the full size aisle. I noticed that the full size sign said "Alamo National" above it, so I assumed the cars were for both. I wasn't there when the car was returned, so I don't know if the returns are still separate (they were in December).
