I was listening to the 8/19 podcast on my way to work this morning, and this question cracked me up in light of the conversation my daughter (7) and I had yesterday. She said something like, "There are animals no one eats, right? Like snails?" I surprised her with the news that snails were not only eaten, they were considered delicacies in some countries. Her eyes got really big, and she immediately asked when she could try escargot.
So...those kids are out there. I don't know how I ended up with one - I have exactly zero interest in escargot (though I will admit that I have probably tried more unusual meats than the average gal).
Has anyone else managed to raise adventurous eaters?
