What keeps you coming back?

I used to go every several years and enjoyed it but wasn't a huge fan. Then about 4 years ago we scheduled a family trip to WDW and I did a lot more detailed planning. Listened to WDW podcasts and really got into it and became a much bigger fan. I had the opportunity to go to WDW and even once to Disneyland during work trips, and I felt like I really missed it if I hadn't been there for several months.

However, I'm now feeling a little bit "Disneyed out". We are going there in a week, and I'm excited about it, and I'm especially looking forward to seeing the new Pandora stuff, but this will probably be our last trip to WDW for a few years. We bought an RV last year, and I wanted the experience of camping at Ft. Wilderness, so that plus the new Pandora area were the drivers for this trip.

In the past we really enjoyed going to WDW around Sept/Oct or January. We usually had good weather and low crowds. But lately it seems to be pretty crowded year-round. We did one summer trip a few years ago and said never again will we do that. The heat and the crowds just made it not fun. I'm looking forward to the new Star Wars area in 2019, but I'm thinking I should wait at least a year after it opens and also find a relatively low-crowd time.

Why do I go back? Because my oh so grown up 17 year old daughter turns back into the 5 year old I took on our 1st trip. She gets excited and happy and to be honest when a 17 year old says daddy book Trattoria al Forno so I can meet Rapunzel you just have to do it.

I love going back for several reasons:
- It truly is the only place I've been that I don't think about work AT ALL. I'm a bit of a workaholic so to be at Disney where my mind just lets it all go means a lot to me. When I come back to work, I am mentally refreshed.
- I feel a strange mix of things when I'm there - there's comfort around "coming home" to something that's so familiar to me, but at the same time, I still feel excited to see and try new things. It's such a weird combo!
- I love the family time, whether I'm traveling with my husband and sons or my sister, sister-in-law and niece. Switching up my traveling partners always brings new adventures. I love to see the excitement in their faces.
- The CM's and most other guests are just wonderfully pleasant to be around. I love to see happy faces, matching t-shirts, little princesses, all of it. Yes, of course there are screaming kids and rude adults, but I can forgive that easily and just move on while I am there. I decided long ago that the actions of others are not in my control - I can only control how I react to it, and I choose to be forgiving, try to help where I can, and remove myself if the situation isn't pleasant for me.
- I love the "bubble" as well... I like not having to worry about driving around, even if the buses take a little while. I like that people take care of my bags for me to and from the airport. I like that CM's welcome me home when I get to the hotel and wish me a happy birthday when I'm wearing my button. I like to talk to CM's about their home towns and to thank them for the great job they do. I like that there's always a new (or familiar!) adventure around every corner. I like the food, drinks, fireworks, rides, parades, shows, shopping and most of all, the magic.

33 more days until my next visit - and I can't wait to feel that magic again!

We went when we were children, and now every time I arrive back as an adult I have that child-like feeling of excitement, and I mean 'jumping up and down with joy' excitement, and I have never been anywhere else that gives me that feeling. I work overtime to pay for our annual Christmas trip, but it's worth every bit of sweat and toil IMHO.

Because it's so magical still. Because I love the escape from real life. Because I just love Disney World so much and miss it terribly when I'm at home.

There was an article about this a few months ago on yahoo. Until I read it, I guess it never sunk in.

If you haven't figured it out by now, it's in Disney World that I make the best memories with my family. It's there that I'm reminded about the very meaning of family. It's a special place, don't get me wrong, but the people I go there with are what make it special

And that is the same reason I keep going back.

There's a certain feeling I get in Disney that I can't seem to get anywhere else! It's so peaceful (even with the massive crowds at times) and I can never be sad when I'm there.

I love being in the Disney bubble. I can totally disconnect from the rest of the world for a few days. I love the CM's. I love experiencing pixie dust or seeing others get to experience it. I love being able to provide some pixie dust to others. pixiedust:

I love meeting people from all over the world. I love spending time here, making new memories, with my Family and friends.

It's just my happy place. ::yes::
