I had 2 questions to ask this morning. The first was what is a mullett, Thanks to Tigger9 I now know. However I still have question 2. Can someone tell me what is the meaning of Marco Polo being yelled at swimming pools. Is this a game or what?

LOL! Yes Marco Polo is a game!

One person has to close their eyes and all the other people playing wander around the pool. The person who is "IT" CAN NOT OPEN THEIR EYES!!!!

The person who is IT then yells out MARCO! All the people playing then yell out POLO! The person who is IT has to find and touch another person....the people who aren't it can move all over the pool....the person who IS IT can yell out MARCO as many times as they want and the people trying to get away must answer loudly.

Thank you all so much. Our condo has a pool and I hear this all the time.Now I know what is going on. Was curious, has this been a game for awhile or is it relatively new? I don't remember it being around when I was a kid many many years ago.

LOL! Heres a twist. Our neighbors name is Marc, but we also call him Marco sometimes. So when we started playing Marco Polo in the pool this summer, my 3yo decided to change it to "Marco", then his last name, which also ends in an "O" so it sounds right.

And yes, its been around a while. Im 31 and played it as a kid.

That's OK, I never heard of Marco Polo (the game) until I moved to Florida 14 years ago. I thought it was just a "Florida" thing!
