What is your's and your SO's song?...and why?

Well this thread CRASHED AND BURNED! I'm listening to our now so I was reminded to post....

It's Heaven (originally by Bryan Adams), because it was released by a UK artist when we were first together and was always played in the nightclubs we went out to.....sigh....good times :flower:

:rotfl: We've all had these kinds of threads!

For us it's Nights in White Satin. When DH and I were getting to know each other, he sang it to me and it just became our song. At our wedding, while my bridesmaids and I were getting dressed, he sent down roses to each of us and stood at the top of the stairs and serenaded me with that song.

We didn't dance at our wedding reception, but we do have a song. It's weird though. It's from Titanic, but not the Celine Dion song. It's the song from the very beginning and the very end. There's a woman "singing" it, but it's just kind of "humming" along, there's no words. My husband always hummed this song to me since we started dating.

when we were dating, we hadn't said the big L word yet. He is NOT a country music person at all, but the words to this song said exactly how I felt about him. So, I bought the CD single for him and told him this is how I feel. He didn't act overly touched at the time, but his brother later told me that he would listen to it over and over on his way to work. AWWWW! :rotfl: So, we danced to it at our wedding. This past anniversary, he popped it in the stereo and we danced to it in our living room. To look at my husband you would never think he had a romantic bone in his body, but he's just a huge teddy bear!

During different stages of our relationship we have had different songs. When we were dating "Without you" by Motley Crue and "I remeber You" by Skid Row. When we were married it was "Everything I do (I do it for you)" Bryan Adams. Now it is "Just another Day in Paridise" by Phil Vasser.

Ours is In My Life by the Beatles.

Part of it was a joke because I got DH a card one time that said, "I love you more" so he started saying it all the time. Then, we saw The Bootleg Beatles at Kew Gardens and realized that, since this was not a first marriage for either of us, the words are quite meaningful for us.

We don't have a song :confused3

We danced to "I don't want to miss a thing" (Aerosmith- Armageddon theme) at our wedding. I wouldn't say that is our song, but we had to pick something and we both liked the song and lyrics. I guess we aren't the romantic type and we don't listen to a whole lot of music together.

Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney. Both of us had a long string of short lived miserable relationships before we met each other. We were both shocked that this one just took off and never hit a bump. Considering that, it just seemed appropriate.
