What is your Sword in Stone Pin Strategy?

Post opinions/strategies here. Do you think the magic is in the stone or the pin. Does it matter where or when you pull it. Should lobby be empty or full. If someone else successfully pulled the pin - do you still try your magic at that stone?

For me it depends on my mood. I will sometimes fill up on them and other times I will just do it one by one. Then if there are to many people in the room and I have a bunch I will go to an empty one and do it. But I think its all just luck. Doesn't matter if the lobby is empty or full cause I have pulled it out in both before.

I won't try to pull the sword if it's just been pulled, either by myself or someone else, but I will try to use the magic as soon as I get it, even if that means moving to a different room if someone else just pulled the sword.

Of course, you can't go by me because I've only pulled the sword once, and it wasn't even really me. It was my fiance playing on Mnementh.

It varies for me. Sometimes I'll try it right after I get one. Sometimes I wait until I accumulate a few before I try it. If someone has just pulled out the sword, I'll wait to try later.

There is no strategy for me .. Ive just been lucky the first three days of the IASWP pin's release.

I have had varying sucess pulling immediately after someone pulls it out so it all boils down to luck. I have collected 20 - 30 and got none or 1 and I have pulled everytime I get the sword pin and most of the time nothing other times something. I have used allsorts of thoughts on how it works and still am sure of only one thing - It's very random...and takes no skill but lots of luck. Consider it your local VMK slots. I once waited until I had 9 pins and then used them all and got nothing, so I have better success using them right as I get them. However I think the sword pins are predetermined and there is really no secret to changing lobbies or using a certain amount at a time.
Rob and I once saw a guy pull the sword 3 times in a row, now thats some good luck

I think they are all duds. I have tried 30+ pins and nothing...zip...zilch.

Around how many rides does it take you to get a pin? I ride alot but I never get one. I know its random but if you remember the number of rides you rode can you please post?

On average around every three rides yields a magic pin

ive only gotten the magic pin once, and only once.

here is my theory: Where do you think all those credits go once you spend them on the ride?

good. I have never pulled the sword out with dozens of tries. However I have been very lucky to trade for all three pins.

I don't really have a stragety considering I have pulled the sword after using five pins in a row and then I have pulled the sword after only getting one pin. So it all depends on my mood and if I want to continue riding or not

I don't think it matters if someone pulled out the sword before you try it. That day last week when people were getting sowrd pins almost every single ride, I pulled it out and got IASW pin, then someone went right after me and pulled it out too.

Anyway, I'd never tried for the pins before that day last week, and I probably won't again now that I've got the pin. It's so boring riding those rides.
