What is your rate for July/August?

Using the superbowl rate that I got with winning a free ticket. My rate came out to be 172.00 a night for 4 nights- gardenview. The longer I stay the less per night I would be paying,

Man I am glad I booked when I did and with whom I did. This is a quote I received today!

Notice that, this agency tells me that I am paying 280.00 per night and I should be grateful that I am getting free park tickets! I think I'll keep my 163.00 per night rate! LOL Heck, I am paying less than this room only quote for my room, (pool view not garden view) my park tickets and my airfare! About $300.00 dollars less.

Ya, you've got to wonder about some of these quotes from travel agents. That's why so many of us do it ourselves. The good thing about Universal is that if you find a cheaper rate, they will adjust it for you.

I don't know if this is great or not for the PBH. Deciphering all the add-ons has my head spinning:

"We are pleased to confirm a Club Room with 2 Queen Beds has been reserved for arrival August 22nd, 2009 for 6 nights. This has been reserved with the Kids Free Theme Park Admission at the rate of $264.01 per night. All rates are quoted in US dollars, excluding tax. Applicable taxes are 12.5%. **Date changes made to a reservation are subject to availability and the prevailing rates at the time of change. Please be advised there must be a guest at least 21 years of age staying in the room to check in.

With this promotion you will receive 2 adult tickets and 2 children's tickets (ages 3-9) good for both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, valid for the length of your stay (up to 7 consecutive days) - Not valid for Halloween Horror Nights Events. The best place to purchase additional tickets would be on our website www.universalorlando.com or by calling 888-343-3636. "

My husband rationalized our move to Club level because we need a rollaway (which is free at the club level) and he wants to use the gym and internet. I think those are free. We figure the breakfast for 5, snack, and drinks will make that move worth it. We bought one more ticket for $99.

Again, I'm not sure if that's a great deal or not. Seems like it, but I'm used to Disney prices! :scared1:

I don't think that is too bad! I am paying $159 using my annual pass rate for a standard room without tickets or club at that same time. I am platinum level so I get internet and gym free anyways. Internet is only free in the club lounge with club and not in your room -- just so you know.

I don't think there are any normal rooms left for the 24th to 26th anyways even if you wanted one.

We arrive at HRH next week Aug 14 - 16 and got an AP (lowes member also) rate of $204.50 ($229 w tax) for Pool View. We will check next week to see if the rates drop and/or club level becomes an option as it this has occurred in the past right before arrival date. And if not, we will try to upgrade to Club at check in. We have done this in the past, assuming they are not near capacity, free of charge.
